What does everyone do for the terrible breath you have for the rest of the day after drinking any protein shake?
Brush your teeth.

BTW BSL flavoring just got DQed, but trueprotein has a little Vanilla left.

I don't think I wrote up anything about the vanilla... Hope it isn't awful!

I had a Muscle Milk Cookies 'n Creme RTD at lunch today. 7/10

I have the same issue. Just brush your teeth again. Maybe floss and scrub your tongue as well.

Double Rich Chocolate - ON 100% Whey Gold Standard

Preparation: This stuff mixed with just a spoon amazingly well. It dissolved in just a few seconds.

Taste: Best tasting protein I've ever tried, I don't think I'd ever not want to drink it or turn it down.

Score: 10/10

Dutch Chocolate - NOW Whey Protein Isolate

Preparation: This stuff is pretty hard to mix with a spoon. I'd basically end up eating the chunks out of my glass and it wasn't very pleasant. Also a nuisance to clean out my glass in the sink. Would not advise unless you plan on blending or use a good shaker.

Taste: It was alright, not as good as the Optimum Nutrition but not unpleasant or anything. Tasted reasonably like chocolate, a little chalky though.

Score: 5/10

i have a tub of on casein vanilla that just will not mix in a shaker cup, it sucks because the taste is pretty good, but the consistency is just nasty...this didn't happen with the cookies/cream casein...

metabolic drive destroys all the on whey/casein i've tried so far...if only they were the same price

Kinda bumping this here, but I've now used a few proteins mentioned here as well.

Note I mix all of mine with water

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Natural Chocolate - 7.5/10, pretty good overall. Mixes well, not the greatest but not bad either

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Double Rich Chocolate - 5/10, just meh. I was disappointed with this considering my staple for chocolate was the previously mentioned Natural Chocolate, which just tasted better. This mixes the best out of the proteins I've tried, but all mix at least ok so this doesn't mean too much. If mixed with milk I'd give this 7/10, but just about everything tastes better when milk is used instead of water.

BSN Syntha-6 Cookies and Cream - 9/10, very good. The BSN proteins don't seem to mix as well as the ON's, but taste noticeably better. I really like this one as it tastes excellent even with just water, and I try to mix one of these every day.

BSN Syntha-6 Chocolate Peanut Butter - 10/10, the best. As mentioned it doesn't mix as well as the ON's, but the chunks that don't mix taste great and don't pose a problem. This one is almost like a desert to me and I have at least one every day. I find this one goes very well in the morning.

The BSNs are a bit more expensive per serving than the ONs, but I find them well worth the extra cost. I'm curious if anybody's tried any of the other Syntha-6 proteins, as it seems these offer a nice value, especially for meal replacement when you want something that just tastes good.

Word. I got some of the last of the Vanilla which pales in comparison to the chocolate. Though it seems the ants that were adding anabolism and texture to my shakes have disappeared.

Is there a good protein (preferred a casein mixture or casein) that is very low on carbs and fat

as in, my metabolic drive has 2g CHO and 2g fat per 20g protein. Something this low or lower.

Teamskip from trueprotein.

34% whey iso 33% micellar casein 33% eggwhite protein. Mixes well, taste depends on flavour.

I bought the sampler from TrueProtein. If I don't post a review every 3-4 days. Someone hassle me.

Chocolate Banana

Overall it was quite meh. Water left a stronger banana flavor than the milk, both were fine, but nothing spectacular. I don't know if I'd make this a daily drinker. Perhaps if I were consuming 3+ shakes a day, I'd start having one of these every 4th or 5th, but as it is I feel no compunction to purchase on an ongoing basis. Still very good.

Milk: 8
Water: 8

NB: I am partial to choc flavors over vanilla. My reviews will be biased in this way. I don't care.

I have had Chocolate and Strawberry Syntha-6 and they both are 10/10. I will be getting some Syntha-6 Vanilla in my next order, along with a couple different weight gainer mixes. Will post a review once I get them.

Optimum Nutrition - 100% Whey Gold Standard - Extreme Milk Chocolate
Taste 10/10 - I only drink it with milk, but it's delicious. I've has some cheapo chocolate protein and this is way better.
Mix 10/10 - I use a shaker, no clumps or anything. I've used a spoon once and it doesn't mix as well.

Syntrax Nectar - Roadside Lemonade
Taste 7/10 - It's alright. Doesn't really taste like lemonade but it has a good flavor. I only drink this with water as my PWO shake.
Mix 7/10 - I use a shaker and there's still a few clumps that don't seem to break down. With a spoon there's a lot of clumps.

PHD - Vanilla creme - Mixes well, nice vanilla taste without reminding me of drinking vanilla essence. Mixes very well with this fruit / vege powder I have.

PHD - Chocolate mint - tastes like liquid after eights, only slightly less minty. This stuff is like candy and I am making up excuses to have shakes!

There are probably 1000s of powders. I just need one or two that I really like. So an 8 would be meh.

think mixing any protein shake with water is muck. need some nice creamy milk with a few spoons of sugar,

stawberry is a safe option with any of them, think its the nicest with the gold standard once

Had the Strawberry. Initial reaction with both liquids was "Mm... Good." However, the milk left a tinge of sour at the aftertaste and the water blend faded rapidly. I feel like adding a couple tablespoons of ice cream into the milk would take away that edge and really make this powder great for MRPs for bulking since you could add a variety of fruit flavors to the base and get a little wild with it. But as a stand alone with just milk... not so much.

Milk: 8
Water: 7.5

Cosign. Why would anyone put protein powder in water? Also, I know this thread is about rating taste but IMO the results of these products is equally important. Granted there are some that are so disgusting tasting it's not worth it and I've thrown out some products just on bad taste. Anyhow:

Hyper Growth Formula by Biophase. Taste 8/10, results 10/10. This powder with whole milk tastes ok but the results are the bomb. It helped me stack on 5 lbs of muscle last year and often I felt oddly pumped during workouts.

APEX shakes, premade, vanilla and chocolate. 10/10 taste and 9/10 results. Super yummi.
