Re: Project ABP

If your gumbo tastes like clam chowder, either your gumbo is bad, your clam chowder is bad, or both.

Crawfish aren't in season right now.

Are you training in at a gym in a giant old building that says Falstaff? That place is sick.

Re: Project ABP

I thought crawfish were always in season because they shipped them in from China when not available. I could be wrong though, it's been a while since I hit up the South.

The plot twist no one saw coming is N1 getting blackballed on a trip without loco while drunkenly playing blackjack with his friends.

No not that place. First place i got ID at some bullshiet air base. I told them im going to the gym. He looked at me like im crazy and told me to turn back, i NEED military ID. He saw my phone and laugh at google maps. Southerns and their power trips, lol.

I Google gym near me. A 2nd gym popped up. I went there and it is a legit gym. LSU type players in there squatting 495 for triples. Love it. 15 dollar for 2 day pass, im like sign me up!

I got 3 gold pearl necklaces on bourbon street. I think white chicks love ABP. So many cute white girls, but not wife material.

Re: Project ABP

loco,

There are places that do that, but you should def not being going to those places.

N1,

Boudin is great. I'd advise eating it everywhere if you like it, since recipes vary person to person. (Like chili levels of variation.)

What type of Po Boy did you get? I'm an oyster or oyster/shrimp guy, but some people live and die by the roast beef. Beignets are allegedly great. Somehow I've never actually made it to duMonde.

Glad you hit the gym!

Re: Project ABP

^uh haha!

home now. early 6:03am flight, but got delayed about 22 minute. in the airplane and hear a huuuuge thump and the plane moved a bit.. the captain said some brake got knocked off. so now the mechanics need to check it and sign some documents and that needed to get approved/passed..

played some donk 1/3 table. this reg fish reverse float this other fake ABP JTs on some 683r on the flop. turn checks, and he rivers a backdoor straight lol. the fake ABP got so mad. the reg fish claims he plays higher lol(plo specialst he said). made like $100, got bored of this joke of a table and left for the BJ.

i buy in $200. steady for like 30 minutes. following basic strategy. but something didn't feel right... lost the $200 within minutes. i played well. the dealer kept on hitting everything. oh i have 17, of course 18. i have 20, its a push. i surrendered once on a 15. and of course, the dealer hits 20. did that for you, loco.

like i said, something didn't feel right. thats right. needed crazy. NEEDED LOCO.

$-100. whatever.

food there is great. the beignets are my favorite. then poboys. gumbo isn't special. chargrilled oysters great. if you looking for a wife, do not go here lol. the strip clubs not so hot here. walked in then walked out lol.

i had that hand grenade drink. i loved it. sweet and flavorful. i ask whats in it. they told me its a 'secret ' lol.

here is the gym i trained at:

they also had an outside area. it was really neat.

today off, tomorrow i train w3d3. resting for now.

Re: Project ABP

You know that basic strategy Ioses money at blackjack, right?

That the reason things didn't feel right was there wasn't someone helping you get more money in when the game was profitable, and less when it was not?

Re: Project ABP

Could have cleaned house. Dont have patience for monkeys. Easy money but it tilts me sitting there not getting action. An ABP always need action.

Wtf? U saying u gonna throw a slider on a 3-0 based loaded in the 9th, 2 outs, winning run on third??? Basic strategy says its fastball!

liking you. i skip no days off. even with a fever during ABPxLoco Pt.1 i went in and got my lift in.

i like the spicy shrimp poboys. but it isn't spicy enough... also they good go easier on the bread. and less lettuce. but i dont mind. the beignets could be my staple carb diet, but none here.

Re: Project ABP

Beignets in Chicago:

1. Big Jones (in Andersonville. Also, has a bourbon passport thing that's pretty cool.)
2. Jimmy's Pizza Cafe (Lincoln and Foster. Also, maybe the best NYC style pizza in Chicago.)
3. Luella's (in Lincoln Square. Also, generally good southern food including very good fried chicken)
4. Lowcountry (I haven't had here but there appears to be on in Lakeview for you to try out.)
5. I'd assume any of the other cajun/crab places.

I can only assume you literally didn't consider googling "beignets Chicago," and didn't realize that all the ingredients are in the baking aisle at Jewel. Unlike southern biscuits, there's really no secret here just generic carbs and fats.

Re: Project ABP

Cit,

Can you clarify what you mean by southern biscuit and the secret? I'm guessing you mean cold butter, but after a quick google there seems to be some disagreement about milk/buttermilk (an eternal debate).

Regardless, this is literally the first time I've heard the term, but Paula Deen has a recipe for "southern biscuits" so I'm probably just a simpleton eating too much cornbread.
