THEY ARE AMERICAS YUPPIE TEAM. they are embarrassing and a disgrace to even have the audacity to call themselves 'Americas team'. DONT MAKE ME GO STEVEN A. SMITH ON YOUR ASS.

Seems odd that a Cowboys fan feels superior to a fan of a team that has been to the Super Bowl much more recently. Still living on those 90s highs I guess.

Is that about right? Or perhaps it was a certain life support system for an anal cavity?
HA! OSB! BONAFIDE SCRUB. so are the rest of fitness IGers. don't make me call out some of these idiots bc some of these pages are pathetic and embarrassing to the health and wellness community.

LOVE IT.

the sad part is he doesn't even know how mediocre that blue star team has been the last 20+ years. ALL HYPE, NO GAME.

Yuppie scum that are fans of teams that have been unsuccessful in recent years drive me crazy

Did that post really sound like I was being superior? The Cowboys have sucked since 1997. I've no illusions about that and never said anything different. I was merely commenting that that's what ABP always has to say about me, Cowboys this, blue star that, lol. The 90's were great though, you're right about that!

What on earth does 2002 have to do with anything? Sigh. I just WISH I were as smart as you guy. Maybe someday. I can dream.

NEVER CHANGING FOR ANYONE.

i love these idiots on IG talking about change and all this non-sense. the only reason you want to change is to impress others or for someone. WHICH IS RIDICULOUS. AMS said it best. you can't change your personality. its who you are. you can fake it for a bit, but then people get to know who you really are. this is why relationships fail. all these beta yuppies trying to change for someone. weather its relationship with a girl, or your boss. it doesnt work out in the long run. IF THEY DON'T LIKE YOU, IT IS NOT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO IMPRESS THEM OR TO MAKE THEM FEEL BETTER. honestly sick of people who complain. it comes from needy behavior. 'oh why cant you be like this or this?...' complete morons.

man i hope this non-sense chinese virus goes away soon. 2 weeks without the gym now. looking back at my lifts 3 years ago and wow. squatting 2 plates was struggle, now its a warm up to my RPE8. i also remember the time i said in my head 185lb bench would be so lovely. surpassed that.

i have the biggest heart in the gym. even my roomie says so. i do not GAF what you say. i go hard every session. it sounds like arrogance but i don't GAF.

i remember couple year back Evoken say medium effort in the long run will be successful instead of going @ RPE10 every session. no. i push every set til desired RPE9 or w/e the program calls for. some nights it feel like @8, and i say to myself to wrap it up and call it a night. then i sit on the safety bars of the squat rack and tell myself ANOTHER SET WILL NOT KILL YOU. GO TO @9. then i do it. that is dedication and the heart i have. YOU CANNOT TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME. MY WORK ETHIC ALWAYS RPE10. i dont GAF what you say. even my hot ass supervisor said it herself. after rough shifts, she would leave a note thanking me and my WORK ETHIC. people notice you only when things get tough on them. THIS IS WHY I STAND OUT.
03-29-2020 , 04:55 AM
There's genetic variation. Some people are just more prone to getting hurt. If you never get hurt going rpe10 every session, keep at it.

But remember your training age is still quite young. RPE10 can do a lot more damage the stronger and more advanced you already are.

Oh yeah weak af. Last time I did 135x10 for rdls I injured myself. I would think all those years of XC would strengthen my legs but meh.

Aren't you changing your ways and attitude by watching Coach Cory and AMS?

I just clicked on a random page of this log and it seems that N1H is a pretty average strength bro (kinda weak on bench, but strong on overhead so balances out). Like where you would end up on a couple cycles of starting strength and 1 cycle of that intermediate strength program I can't remember the name of.

Does he actually think he is strong? I know as the rest of us have gotten old/weak the forum isn't what it once was. But really, a regular sized dude who is squatting 260x7 is bragging about how much heart he has? I guess this really is a reflection of where this forum is now.

^ I assume he's just kidding about almost everything he posts (lifts, clothes/shoes, work complaints, women, etc..).

My 150lbs teenage son is stronger and my 130lbs wife is also stronger. He knows where he's at in the real world of strength, so it's obv a trolling exercise for him.

To his credit, it is funny and brings the lulz on occasion, so kudos to him for that.

Carry on.

squat/bench/dl/press numbers for your 150lb son? Also when did you start him out on lifting? This is something I wonder about the right approach on. I've got no idea what the optimal age is.

Probably a slight bit of hyperbole on my part since I was comparing to a 30+ year old grown as "man", lol. But his numbers are in the neighborhood of 315/150/405/135 right now. Not much of a bencher, just like his daddy. Chasing that BW press though. He plays lacrosse, so while getting swole is a bonus, it's a lot for sport.

He basically started lifting with regularity about a year ago, 16-17yo. I never wanted to be the dad that pushed him to do something he didn't want/need to do, esp since I knew he'd love and do it the rest of his life if it was his choice.

And he hasn't missed a day of programming even with the gyms shut down here, home workouts every night, he must have HEART. Only weak people are using the shut down gyms as an excuse to slack ;-)

In all seriousness, if we're going solely for optimal, I would have started him at 10-12yo, no joke. I have a buddy who started his son that young, and he's killing it in football and t&f as a high school freshman. My concern there is burnout, but only time will tell...

That's still pretty impressive for a 15yo, imo. If I could choose, I suppose that what I'd want most is for my kids to like lifting, but not love it so much that it's their primary interest. That is my main stumbling block to achieving even mediocre strength. I really just don't like it much at all, so I'll never put in the effort.

Right now all my lifting is at home, so my kids see me do it. Right now the plan is to just not even think about it until they express interest. If they haven't by high school, then maybe I'll give them a nudge.

Other way on age, he started at 16-17yo.

I think that's the perfect plan. And I bet them seeing you do it at home will have an impression.

I always sold it to him as his ticket to improving in lacrosse. Once he started and saw the rewards, he was hooked.

hehe. some of these guys are nerdy white dudes like you say at the casino talking about strategy and GTO non-sense. they got nothing better to do than to chime in on here. man, i walk by the poker rooms sometimes during ABPxLoco, and its depressing... glad i left this lifestyle. most of these dudes are either like 115lb, blank face/no soul looking idiots, or are 45-60% bodyfat with food stains on their shirts at the table. its so disgusting. this is what i used to be. EV KNOWS. i used to be a true fat fcuk. glad God woke me up from this non-sense BS.

some of these guys in here are cringe. i had like 2-3 people DM me on here a couple years ago asking for nudes of Stacy. screen names i have never seen in here. pretty sure its marknfw or nuclear using throwaways. he then has the audacity to add Stacy and Old Sleeze Ball on IG.

i dont think there is anything more cringy than that.

lol. another ignorant person jumping to conclusions. never did i brag or mentioned that i am strong. and if i did, I AM COMPARING MY OLD SELF TO TO THE CURRENT ME. I SIMPLY BRAG ABOUT MY BIG HEART AS I HAVE ONE. something that you don't have. YOU'RE OLD AND WEAK AND THIS FORUM ISN'T WHAT IT ONCE WAS BC YOU DON'T HAVE THE BIG HEART THAT I HAVE. i do not gaf about numbers. this is why i never tested maxes like said, but simply cared about adding more weight to the bar.

then we have ignorant bullie yuppies in here talking about who is bigger and stronger and their son. lol. its pathetic and you guys act like 16 year old sons of yuppies bragging about a car your parents bought you. so f silly lol.
