What's more incredible? That they're charging $65 (was $80 ZOMG SCORE) or that they're outta stock?

?

And I said I wasn't gonna drink today but.......

I actually feel pretty good, minus the large amounts of phlegm. I'll prob just have a few.

I picked up some of that Guiness black lager I keep seeing ads for. Probably sucks. I only got a 6er. I saw some New Castle Winter IPA that looked interesting, but not 12 pack interesting. So I skipped it for now.

Will update later on Guiness black lager.

That Guiness will probably aid in some PR loogies.

I think he's asking, "is Boston a good city for a foreign student exchange program?"

+1 to boston being awesome.

Isn't that mainly what Boston is known for? Being a huge student city? I know nothing about Ammmurrica I didn't learn from movies though.

Hardball with the translation assist. That post was at the tail end of a 14 hours straight study session and shows.

I can apply to do one of my final year placements in Boston and was wondering what it's like; I know little about it.

ETA: July/August

Boston is a great city. Haven't lived there, but grew up about a half hour outside.

yeah, pretty much. Massive student population between Boston and Cambridge.

July/August is a nice time of year, though very humid.

If you're studying medicine or something along those lines, it's one of the best medical cities in the world. So there's that.

It depends largely where the foreigner is coming from. If they're from Northern Europe/ UK it's probably fairly elite with all the students, alcohol, and already being used to the cold.

If they're from the Middle East, Africa, or India I could see it being fairly miserable.

Asians or Aussies would probably think it is decent but not great.

I actually got what you said the first time Phat. I work with people who speak English as their first language and speak similarly.

I've met people from Bawstun. They are usually dickheads.

I can't speak to living there or the student population. It's probably wicked cool.

I'm sure I've been through this before, but I think that is it's charm of the game. There are very few rules. Basically all you need to know is:

- Kick the ball through the sticks.

- You get a free kick if you catch a kick (from friend or foe) that has gone more than 10m... Actually... it might be 15m... but whatever, it's basically umpires discretion anyway.

- You can't throw the ball, you have to hand-pass (punch) it

- Can only tackle the guy with the ball and you can't tackle above the shoulder (or below the knee iirc)

...there's probably some other minor things, but nothing important or that common.

A friend pretty much said they are the best exercise ever and I just thought they sounded dumb and dangerous, why not just do hanging leg raises?
Used to do these on the reg. Can't say anything but they sucked really hard in a good way. Have a spotter obv.

Good beer >>>>> all.

Things I remember about Boston: They call the "el" the "t" and the bars do not stay open very late.
