I’ve trained every day but one during this time compared to the previous week then I was camping and had a week of activity but no training. But I’ve slept really well the past 8 days, I’ve cut out all alcohol and eaten relatively healthily vs the previous week when I was drinking every night and sleeping worse

Would it just be the effort from training? Seems unlikely given u train year round. Makes no sense unless I’m carrying a virus or something I can’t feel in other ways?
This is just anecdotal evidence, but my RHR goes down 4-6 beats without fail after a rest day. During deload weeks, it is always hangs out at all time lows.

Yes I think there’s something in that. I was at the end of a restful week when it was low, albeit it’s now higher than it’s been for 13 months.

But I had a rest day two days ago and it stayed the same but didn’t fall

IDK

You detrained bro. Volume looks weak compared to the 2000m training. Let's see the meters rowed per week last 6 months. Detraining will strike two weeks after lower output. A big zero for a full week is a big no no and will show a couple of weeks later.

explain ‘de trained’ and it’s effect on rhr?

You’re saying the effect of ramping up training on my heart after a week off will put more stress on it?

Only caveat to that theory is that .. while my heart rate wouldn’t have been going through the roof, I’ve averaged 19k steps per day plus was in the ocean at least an hour per day that week. So it wasn’t like I was sat in bed inactive

RHR is pretty damn correlated to fitness, not when you compare two different individuals but the same one.

Your meters have declined since October. Mailed it in a few times. Heat slowed you down. Took a whole week off. Hit the dank hard on the beach.

You detrained compared to peak fitness in October. It doesn't show in the mostly anaerobic intervals but go do a 2k time trial. High 6:40s, possibly a 6:5x dud in there. Be careful bro, you might get booted from your sub7 club.

The good news is you can get it back fast and it won't have much if any effect on 500m. 1000m maybe somewhat. The 2000 is trashed for sure.

I certainly ramped down the intensity and I definitely think my longer distance stuff is worse than it was. It’ll come back as I train harder now and I’m confident I’ll be able to go sub 6.40 by the end of the ranking year on April 30

I don’t think it explains a 15% jump in RHR over 9 days though.

Heart rate ave went from 57 in Oct to 60 over Christmas and NY. Was down to 57 a few days after the end of my week off but 64 now.

Anyone have any experience treating Achilles Tendonitis? (35m, 6'4'' 195, ok shape).

I've had a light case on/off for 5 years, getting it maybe 2-3 times a year, from running/treadmill.

Usually a week or two off and I am ok, but I figure I should probably go to physio or have a good treatment/recovery plan. I was thinking a few times a week now just adding heel drops.

Have you tried ankle mobility exercises? Perhaps those could be beneficial for this issue.

Not really, I'll look into that I guess.

I have been doing alot of calf/heel raises the last 4-5 days, and my upper calf near the knee is super sore now. Is this a good or bad sign? The previous 2 weeks only my achilles was dull/sore.

Dunno how many of you are still into WLing. But Fat Mendes of Average Bros fame has finished his arc on Season 9 of 90 Day Fiance. It is... as expected. (Shouts to John. He's great.)

But if you're interested in what one of the previously strongest men in the world is doing now... its reality TV in all its spiciest form.

This hand is ridiculous, poker world is going crazy.

She ended up giving the money back because Garett cried cheating.

I am ashamed to be a pro player because of Gman's behavior (he gladly accepted money back and ruled cheating with 100% confidence).

If you want the wrong analysis of the hand, see Dwan and Polks opinion on Twitter. If you want the correct analysis, see Negreanu.

This hand basically outs all the Aspies in poker who cannot comprehend random clicking behavior and are having nightmares about Carlsen Magnus accusations and believe the woman had vibrating anal beads. So sad to see Gman resort to crybaby tactics.

I'm not sure which was more unbelievable, the call or the fact that she gave the money back.

If there is a difference it is probably very small.

Anyone remember Kyle? Forget his username. He's going to be interviewed on a chess podcast of all things lol. Pretty sure I can sneak in a H&F lowkey reference into a question for him.

What should the question be?

Lookin' to KC for a banger here.
