I like the birthday cake halo and the salted caramel (300 cals and 320). Secret is you have to let it melt a little bit so its creamy and not icey.

Last time we had this conversation, G4S said he would rather have one that came in at 750 calories a pint.

So add more sugar and fat? Wat. No shiet.

Ben & Jerrys is a true monstrosity. A pint can come in at greater than 1200 calories. WTF!!! 100g of fat, 100g of sugar!! WTF.

This is what fatties are hungry for. They certainly not hungry for apple.

I'm on #TeamG4S in this bit of sperging. Then again I consume 2 scoop of protein in 400ml water on a regular basis and don't really mind. (I'm actually about to indulge in this high protein treat before some afternoon beers.)

It is really a question of do you wanna eat a bunch of semi-gross stuff, or a little tasty stuff and a little gross stuff. And I guess how you categorize those. IE I think protein infused food is disgusting and inedible. (pancakes for example) Would easily take 2 normie pancake and protein in water. Some people want 5 protein pancake. Whatever works.

I see Ben n Jerrys has gotten into the light ice cream game.

But lower protein. And they just manipulate the serving size so it seems lower than Halo. A pint is still over 600 calories.

Pathetic. I hate Ben Jerry's. I want to make a dog turd into ice cream and as long as it has 100g of sugar and 100g of fat, then the fatties will love.

Gosh, that reminds me of the epic cookie rant i went on a few months ago. My sister's boyfriend said he discovered the worlds greatest cookie. I gave it a test run and mostly agreed, but i had to check the calorie count. It came it at a whopping 380 calories (it was facking tiny, a fatty would inhale 4 of them) .

Over 80% of the cookies calories were fat and sugar. WTF. I almost chocked on my own spit and went on the most epic rant that sister made me repeat a few days later. Yes, it involved a dog turd.

Guys, you gotta always check the calorie count and macros. If the stuff you are hungry for is mostly fat and sugar, well guess what. You are not really hungry. You inhaling the line of blow.

Shiet, i even an inhaled a fake line of blow in front of my sister's lawyer buddies. Lets just say that cookie lost a shitload of its power rating that day. And the best part is both my bro and sis are nodding in approval the whole time.

Damnit I have to agree with Loco here. Halo Top sea salt caramel is elite for 320 calories IF you let it sit out about 30min to soften up.

I don't eat ice cream anymore unless it's just to taste test what I'm making at work. I'm at a restaurant now that doesn't sell ice cream so I never eat it.

I watched the coach greg video where he makes his protein ice cream and he said it's "80% as good as Ben & Jerrys." To which I thought "well I'm accustomed to eating ice cream that's at least 50% better than B&Js so your ice cream must be terrible."

B&Js is mediocre supermarket stuff. It's the Budwieser of ice creams.

If I crave something creamy and sweet I'll have greek yogurt and some fruit with a few drops of monkfruit extract, which is by far the GOAT non-caloric sweetener. Just make sure it's pure extract not the bullshat erythritol with a tiny bit of monkfruit added.

I've never had Halo but I know the main reason for the lower calories is because it has more air in it than normal ice cream (or what they call overrun in the food industry). Basically a scam.

Agree with notthremp about food with protein powder being terrible. I got coach greg's cookbook just for giggles to see what the pastry stuff is like. I made the blueberry cookies and they were absolutely inedible. Worse than any Snack Well's cookie from the 90s.

I don't understand people who are so desperate to find the magical unicorn foods that are healthy enough to eat as much as they want yet just as hyperpalatable as the regular stuff. The solution is not to search for the magic formula so you can stuff your face with mountains of semi-healthy food. The solution is to stop being addicted to hyperpalatable food and your overeating problem will solve itself.

No **** sherlock. Might as well get the Ben&Jerrys for 200 more cals. Keto is fake dieting nonsense anyway. 28g of sugar alcohol would leave me bloated like a beached whale.

As a lol old, I have no idea what kids these days are into, so I'm gonna need more detail here. What exactly is a fake line of blow? Did everyone know it was fake? Did everyone think it was blow except for you? If that's the case, how exactly did you fake it? And more importantly why even bother?

This whole thing seems pretty out of character for the locobro. Ain't no drug gonna get him higher than one of his perfect workouts and he's not exactly shy about advertising that.

On the other hand, maybe you're just talking about cookies. But then why would you even eat one of those fat infused dog turds? Locospeak is hard to decode sometimes. And my lawyer buddies do a ton of actual blow so maybe my perspective is warped.

OK, you guys have me convinced that the Halo Top is going to be a disappointment. I'm mostly of the opinion that I'd rather have small quantity of something that tastes great, than a large quantity of something really inferior. However, in the case of ice cream, I think even cheap ice cream tastes pretty good. For example, as krunic points out, B&J's isn't really great ice cream and I can easily tell the difference between that and something better, but B&J's is definitely good enough and I like it. So I thought Halo Top might have a shot of being good enough too. Clearly, it won't be.

I quite like Greg Doucette's anabolic ice cream. It's not as nice as the proper stuff, but it's nearly as good and very few calories indeed. (Sample ingredients: almond milk, frozen berries, whey protein. Loads can be about 200 calories.)

I make most of my own sweets and don't even really like ice cream. lmk when sour gummis are a thing.

Cookies I generally make are basically fat + sugar with some binder. (Flour/almond flour/egg/etc) You know... like grandma made em'. Just with better emulsification and actual science.

If you hate actual sweets, k. Good for you.

I think Doucette’s anabolic French toast is legit good, like I can eat that everyday for a meal and not be bothered or dread it. I do always add a half scoop of choccy/PB protein powder to the egg whites before dipping the bread in there and sometimes I will add a half serving of honey drizzled w the low cal syrup, but the stuff slaps. An excellent diet food.

That is pretty much exactly what IIFYM is about. I just don't happen to like that stuff. Some people do.

Honestly I think protein powder is mildly disgusting and think that loco's dog turd comment might be correct, but definitely protein powder is worse. If I take a scoop of brotein powder and add it to a delicious milkshake it is way less delicious. Someone will have to test this against dog turds since we're people of science, but I trust loco.

I would think the recipe would involve something like

1000kcal milkshake (typical)

And then for every ounce of dog fecal matter add 10g fat 15g sugar to the 1000cal milkshake. And that would offset the stinky dog turd.

Maybe a fattie can confirm this is still delicious and thus proving my point. I vote Renton or bwslim experiment. Both these guys with disturbing food comments such as "cookies are awesome, fruit sux" and "anything with added sausage and cream is automatically better tasting."

Cookies are great. As long as they are the fat + sugar type. Start adding turds (AKA protein powder) and they are sheeit as noted scholar loco says.

Actual veggies are p good tho. Fresh tomato with some salt/pepper/brown sugar is amazing. Gotta save them milkshake cals to be able to sprinkle a lil on your tomato.

What are your calories and macros?

I’m dieting and cals macros are 1775 cal 179p 177c 39f

However, I really just focus staying at/under calorie and at/over protein.

I don’t count anything.

Just training hard, trying to not eat too much extra sugar or too many bad carbs and attempting to keep my drinking under control.
