I'm having a very hard time buying the 42 average age of first time non-IVF pregnancy. I'd be pounding the under on that if there was a way to audit all their charts over a large sample size. I think either miscalculation or miscommunication is more likely than that being true, but I suppose anything is possible. If you're willing to post the name of the practice, I'd be interested in which one it was.

I am pretty sure he said that was the average age for the specific clinic he went to, that maybe specializes in this age group? That doesn't mean it is representative for the general IVF population per se.

That's why I was interested in which practice it was. If it was just a general Ob practice, it would be hard to believe. I also have a number of friends and family in Cit's neck of the woods. All of those with kids probably delivered in the same hospital that Cit's group primarily uses (may or may not have been the same group though), so I was curious if any of them were bringing the average down.

Low blow! I think if you read most of my sperging here it mostly consists of continually explaining how things that don't exist, don't actually exist. Plenty of smart people believe insane stuff (actually slight positive correlation with IQ and being a conspiracy theorist), just someone has to fight the war on someone being wrong on the internet on a H&F subforum of a poker forum where no one actually plays poker anymore.

Seems perfectly reasonable to kill oneself over such a bad grammar mistake, especially if one is at the cusp of doing so anyway due to ****ty taste in movies!
