I knew it was fishy that a runner had killed an 80lb mountain lion.

It turns out it was a 35lb 4 month kitten. Lol. Even my boy krunic could have chocked that little guy.

Actually, me too. I had an 80lb dog once, and I'm not sure I could have taken him in a fight if he was really going for it. Replace him with a mountain lion, no way.

In elementary school, in rural Alabama, they taught us what to do if attacked by a wild dog; offer it your left arm. Unfortunately, I was only ever seriously attacked by a "loose" but not wild doberman pinscher who was evidently too smart for that and went straight for my head anyway. Turns out my head is roughly the shape of a doberman's mouth and it was fine (and here you probably thought I was unlucky). I was on the school baseball field--specifically standing on first base.

They also taught us how to evade an alligator; run away in a zig zag pattern because they can only run in a straight line and are way faster than a human. Well, a normal human...nothing on this earth was going to catch me *that* time. 200 feet in 3 steps (and here you may have thought I wasn't a huge coward).

Rattlesnakes, other poisonous snake bites, rabid rodents, alligator snapping turtles, sharks; all separate lessons in public school. Notably missing was both mountain lions and opossums (If playing dead doesn't work, plan B is to chase down and murder you with their terrible needle-teeth. This would have been nice to know in advance).

Aren't you meant to run in a zig zag pattern if someones shooting you? I tend to try and avoid crocodiles although I did go swimming at Katherine Gorge but they're generally freshies.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Freshie" redirects here. For the drink mix, see Freshie (drink mix)

The freshwater crocodile (Crocodylus johnstoni or Crocodylus johnsoni; see below), also known as the Australian freshwater crocodile, Johnstone's crocodile or colloquially as freshie, is a species of crocodile endemic to the northern regions of Australia.

Unlike their much larger Australian relative, the saltwater crocodile, freshwater crocodiles are not known as man-eaters, although they will bite in self-defence and brief non-fatal attacks, apparently the result of mistaken identity, have occurred.
Learned a new colloquialism.

Yes but it was kind of a silly lesson because the real problem was *packs* of wild dogs, but then I suppose they knew there was nothing a little kid was going to be able to do about that. I never personally lost a classmate to wild dogs or anything like that except nearly me to the doberman.

Question for the young and the hip;

Can you please explain the concept of "below the waist" fit jeans? Like as best I can tell this terrifying sensation that my pants are about to fall off, all ****ing day, means they are working...as intended?

I got form corrected by a guy wearing a polo shirt in the gym tonight. All time low. Never should have taken my ear buds out but I thought he wanted to work in. Instead he was, "worried you were going to hurt yourself"

I don't know if I can go back.

Holliday, it's time to stop pretending you're a young and just stick to dad jeans.

Well, what was his form correction?

I too got form corrected for my chest rising faster than my hips DLing by a Chinese skinnyfat female trainer with a somewhat attractive face. She recommended I SLDL every rep and never touch the ground

It's just the Levi's for muscular thighs and glutes. And that part does feel much better.

Which Levi's do you speak of Holliday?

I've never been able to get a pair of those even close to good fit. My issue with Levi's, and the like, is the rise, as opposed to the waist position. It seems like they think everyone needs two feet of material from their ballsack to under their belly button. Weird.

I got the 569's (the one with the below the waist, straight leg, roomier seat, 18.5" leg openings) and the 541's (waist where you'd normally expect it to be, taper leg, fairly normal seat, 14.5" leg openings which is more than usual). $50 each and they are both supposed to be their athletic (as opposed to regular fat guy) jeans. Some colors are 4-way stretch and some 100% cotton, and my 569's are a significantly lighter weight material but I'm not sure if that's true for all versions as I can't see it listed anywhere.

I usually just get the $20 stretch jeans from Target or Walmart (Wrangler or Denizen) and replace every year or two or when my waist size changes by a couple inches. I got my Adidas lifting shoes on Amazon Wardrobe for the 8 day tryout and you have to get 4 or 5 things per shipment, for some reason, so figured I'd take a chance. I actually am not certain I have ever worn a pair of Levi's before. After a couple wears I prefer the 541's but out of the box I liked the 569's better (if a little unsettled by the waist thing). They were a good fit but have become a bit loose. The 541's felt a little too tight but are now fine, if even slightly loose, despite what must be some significant rapid weight gain (ain't measuring but am coping with pie and cookies again). Also a little annoying since I did take measurements per their chart to pick the size.

Yesterday spent all day in the hospital for wife's trial initiation appointment running between testing departments and consultations. Was the first time in 5 or 6 years (since I realized I needed all "technical" clothes for the "all hell breaking loose" sequences) that I wanted to set a pair of pants on fire other than ones worn by enemies.
