When I first saw the headline I assume it was in the other direction, like the book was so poignant that it moved them to tears.

When I read the headline, it reminded me that my reading list will never be so short as to make it worth adding to the bottom.

Had an interesting H&F related experience this week. My partner and I have been in negotiations to buy a small business. So we had a virtual meeting this week with some of the owners. There was some mix up on the time so their main guy and I are logged in first and we're just making small talk. He mentions about just getting done lifting and from there we talk about the iron game for about 20 min. We really built up a rapport.

Most of the topics were things I wouldn't have learned about if not inspired by my e-bros here at H&F. I even channeled loco and gave him some thoughts on natty perfection (didn't actually use those words, though...I had to draw a line somewhere).

When my buddy shows up and the real meeting starts, he's kind of confused, because normally he does all the talking. He's slick AF, and I'm not. But their main guy pretty much just negotiated with me the whole time. Deal is not final but it's looking good. It's still early, and there are a lot of ways it can fall apart, but I'm optimistic.

Brag: Looks like I might close a great deal, in part, thanks to H&F knowledge.

Beat: The dude (who has seen me before IRL a couple of times) in not so many words basically said "You don't look like someone who lifts".

Variance: He's not wrong.

He suggested that he was likely to go on TRT when he gets older. So, I'm guessing he isn't currently.

I did feel bad, for almost a year. Have decided not to ban G4S or DT.

I got my stuff from Rogue. Had to purchase like immediately. I overbought and then was able to sell off some of the stuff I didn't need very easily. I marked it up a bit for my troubles but didn't try and price gouge or anything like that

Just ordered a 90lb adjustable set. Was able to use paypal so I think I should be protected and the company seems legit. We'll see!

I just bought the mini Olympic barbell DBs that fit the weight plates I already have. They were like $60 online and can hold up to 150lb each
