Got my results today; I did not have corona a month ago. Took a hot potato phone sequence to get it. Apparently the health department actually got the results back last week (13 days) and just never sent the email, as they thought someone else (The main office who didn’t have access to the results) was doing it. Or something. Not sure if that’s any better.

I remember banging my head against that forum in the pre SJW era. I can't even imagine how bad it must be now.

In the good old days, if you wanted to type at people on the internet, someone (government or university) had to give you access.

There was still nonsense from people who had no business typing about things outside of their domain of study and knowledge, but it was far less than it is now.

The politics forum is like a combination of me spewing out my personal theories of how to develop a 6-pack, loco giving recipes for tasty food, Babette talking about macros, n1h giving dating advice and kelhus typing about any subject.

Well it's the perfect storm. Here you have a behavioral science (politics) and combine that with an anonymous board and it's a complete dumpster grease fire. You get fake science being commented on by fake posters. Even if the posters build up some cred over the years, it's still a fake science.

Definitely don't consider myself a foodie. Haven't studied the subject matter and don't cook. But my Michelin stars have taken over everyone here. And I have eaten at more of the top50 restaurants than anyone else. Rich and travel, will do that for you.

But I still feel fps food is mostly scamming. The one place where I thought there was good value was this 1 Michelin star in Chinatown Singapore. Got me some soya chicken for $3. Now we talking. That was tasty.

I guess my problem is that I am an advantage player. And getting scammed really tilts me. And these fancy places are mostly out to scam rich people. And the "good" cheap food is mostly just covered in a lot of fat, salt, and sugar. So to find real good food at a value and too not be a calorie bomb has been difficult. But that Singapore place takes the cake.

An inability to cook is almost a requirement for being a foodie. Competent cooks do not refer to themselves as foodies.

Yeah I don't even know what being a foodie means. My buddy and I always lol at our other buddy. He thinks he is a serious foodie.

When we go to the steakhouse, he is always eyeballing the prime rib. I don't really get that man. Prime Rib would be one of the last things I get at a steakhouse.

I mean, sure I have had good primerib but it all tastes the same to me. Buffet primerib? Steakhouse primerib? About the same.

Pass on the primerib. I actually also been passing on most fatty meats lately. Don't feel good afterwards.

A foodie is a slavish follower of food trends and fads. One who fetishizes popular foods, eateries, and chefs.

Cooking skill and knowledge of food and how it's grown/prepared are not the interests of a foodie. An actual connoisseur of food and cooking would be called an epicure or gourmand.

The key to a good steak is to make friends with someone who really knows how to cook.
