They will eventually wear out or can bust with heavy lifts (I've gone through a few pair), and as a result I get mine with webbing sewn on the back.

I get all mine from APT.

Not at all. You want something really thin and strong, seat belt material is great in both aspects. I never found it uncomfortable.

As for where to source, google? An auto supply store would likely have it.

You also get ghetto points which are not to be laughed at.

I lol'd at that pic too. Could imagine myself in my globogym rocking the towel doing these.
12-04-2012 , 09:30 PM
I'm def going to rock the towel from now on.

Thanks everyone!

I definitely don't NOT want a neck harness lol. But probably don't want it enough to spend the $40.

Should have it at a junkyard/auto salvage place. Cut it out of an auto.

Shrugs are definitely loltastic. I mean the ROM is ridiculous (a couple of inches) and the target muscle is puny. What a waste. They don't even burn calories. I rather do one legged leg press calf raises.

Thinking of getting Isopure Zero Carb for the 2 week PSMF. Cut out all the extra calories of ON Whey. Except it's 100% protein, which seems too isolated, so is there anything bad about it?

(cost isn't really an issue for the 2 weeks)

Yep, they look like straps to me.
12-05-2012 , 07:02 AM
I prefer straps made from softer material to protect my delicate wrists.

Late to the party, but results/goals:

November:

[x] Go training with local triathlon club - managed a couple of sessions
[x] 1500m swim - kind of, only did 1450m by accident, but I'll count it
[ ] Set a decent 5k time at a ParkRun - got a bit of an injury so didn't even attempt
[ ] Rehab finger tendon for climbing trip to Thailand - big fail, didn't climb at all due to mixture of finger still hurting, it being too hot and me vomiting everywhere.

December:

[ ] Buy a bike
[ ] Go a full month without being injured
[ ] Get back into lifting 2x/week
[ ] Do a running race/enter a race for Jan
[ ] 1500m swim <28.30

I prefer straps made from rough material so the wrist abrasions make it look like I'm into S&M.

Last week I ordered a bunch of gym clothes from Soffe because they're uber cheap. This is a very flattering gym shirt.

Size up.

Dunno, they say power shrugs are legit. I've definitely considered them several times for DEM TRAPS.

Stuff is pretty highly regarded, what's the issue? I'd be more concerned about general PSMF issues than "my protein has too much protein" issues. (And by more concerned I mean like 0 concerned).

shrugs are great
