If I were trying to rehab a shoulder injury while ALSO addressing a muscular imbalance in my back on top of SS, would my best option be to add a 4th, "rehab" workout to my weekly schedule or try to add in the rehab exercises to my existing 3 workouts per week?

Preference thing but generally the extra two days rest are needed. If you are pretty sedentary and do nothing but eat a lot and do SS, doing a workout every other day is fine.

where have people ordered micro-loading weights from?

mcmaster-carr, and there's another online hardware supply that sells the 2" washers. Your local hardware store might have them too.

Yeah I got them from McMaster-Carr. They are great. I should have ordered 2 sets (10 units), though, so think about that when you buy them.

any chance you could give me the link of the specific washer you bought from them, I see a lot of choices.

I need either a set of 1.25lb washers or I guess .625x4

If so then I would say start around 3000 and keep track of your weight. If its not going up after a few weeks up it by a few hundred calories.

You should visist Lyle MCDonald's website. http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/. Plenty of good information there. Just don't mention the following words on his forum: Rippetoe, Zach, newbie gains and you will be fine.
im actually trying to drop like 10 pounds, is this kind of silly? i dont think 150 is particularly small for 5'6

McMaster- Carr, part number 91081A046. Each washer is 10oz. You can also get the zinc plated version if rust is a concern.

i just think most people wouldn't look at me and be like 'damn that kid needs to gain 10 pounds'

Those weight tables are BS. Anyway, if you put on 20 lbs of muscle you'd look infinitely better than a housecat-sized human at 5'6", 140 lbs.

The scale number is loosely correlated to how you look. How much do you think Christian Bale weighed in Batman Begins? 160 pounds?

But how much did Brad Pitt weigh in fight club? A quick googling says 150-155 pounds.

That same google result says that contrary to what most people thought, Pitt was at his lightest for this roll... lol people

Completely anecdotal and my memory blows, but I can' think of any girls I went to high school with being considerably taller at graduation than freshman/sophomore year.

Dumb SS question:

Am I supposed to add weight to pullups/chins when I reach 15 reps over the three sets, or 15 reps in each set?
****Official Beginner Question Thread**** Quote

Is there really any benefit in doing pullups with an overhand grip? Im thinking that it might be good to train differently (mixing up between over- and underhand), but that this benefit doesn't offset the fact that you can pull less weight with an overhand grip and therefore create smaller stimulus.

This is a good point that people who advocate only (overhand) pull-ups fail to understand (i.e. greater loading and stimulus) while they tout preferential recruitment of the lats and less use of the biceps (which is somewhat true.) However, doing only (supinated) chinups will sacrifice some lat recruitment. Also, using only one grip for all your vertical pull* volume is a recipe for overuse injuries like tendinosis.

Takeaway: Do pull-ups, chin-ups, and neutral grip pullups. They're all useful and will keep your joints healthy.

* Insert SS "Aren't we just pulling against gravity" joke.

But i want the hudge gunz

WFL,
it's not set in stone, add weight once you reach 10+ reps in one set e.g. Or check smiley's pullups thread.
