I am not surprised to find out loco has a history of attraction to bulimic girls.

I am not sure, but I think bulimics tend to be normal weight and the first two were (5'7 135 and 5'4 120).

But I only called this last one bulimic because of her mouth smell. My guess is she is some combination of anorexic and bulimic. Very pretty and smart but nope, only one date. Can't deal with that stuff. The bumble pictures were unclear that she was so skinny. I felt like Arnold around her, she said holy shiet your arms are huge.

Definitely displaying indications of body dysmorphia disorders there. You made the right choice to get out while you could.

bros, I don't think I've ever done chinups... what's the deal with grip width for these? I've tried narrow to wide over the last couple of days, none of them really feel comfortable (weird twisting of wrists and elbows)... what's the best starting point?

I figured a width where your forearms are vertical at the top of the movement, but that feels really weird (too wide) at the bottom\initiation of the pull... what's the deal?

Am I missing something like keeping elbows forward more or flaring elbows more or something..?

nb. It is entirely possibly I just have super sh*t mobility somewhere from shoulder to wrist.

I think I posted it this month or last month. It really is ****ing fantastic. Lots of cool guests, no mark bell infantile anti-humor, informative and entertaining, and two guys who are actually legit elite strength athletes.

Mike Isratel is not great. His first bbing show he was frankly just way too fat to be on stage; I've been leaner than that without even trying to get ready for stage. He was okay/mediocre/not an embarassment at the most recent one, but still VERY far from a guy who should be making a living selling prep coaching/dieting/training advice/ebooks for a living. He is non-natty, got a friend here who's talked cycles with him. The fact that he is able to do that as a career despite having no impressive clients nor impressive results himself is a testament to how rare well spoken high IQ people are in bbing circles relative to pl/oly/xfit.

But of course Chad, Max, and Dr. Quinn are actual experts as are the vast majority of guests.

I really loved the Stan Efferding episode; definitely eye opening when he was talking about his training leading up to the 900lb squat. Less is very often more; just get the important stuff done and gtfo of the gym.

I really enjoy listening to Dr Mike speaking in every single video. Don't even care he doesn't have the titles to back it up. He's so good at explaining concepts. Prob one of the most coherent and to the point YouTube guys I've ever seen.

efferding's youtube is pretty good.

Don't think his less is more strat is applicable to the vast majority. It's easier to take that approach when you're a 275lb mass monster on loads of gear with decades of training under your belt. Or even without the decades of training (think lillibridge).

Aidan,

depends on who's going. Value-wise no, but it can be fun with right crowd or if it's a lot of your gym bros.

I've never been to such a seminar but I'm always worried that everything theoretical you'll hear that day are things that you actually already knew and with 20-30+ people attending you will also have virtually zero one-on-one time.

$125 sounds reasonable though for a fun day out. Much better than the 3x those Chinese wl seminars charge these days.

WLing you might actually learn something. But here's the thing: powerlifting is not rocket science. Unless you're a beginner or unless you're really a wreck, sure you might get a couple form tips, but is Max telling you to look ahead when you pull worth $125 more than cha telling you to do it for free?

and cuz he's from lol NOR*CAL, he's prob gonan spend an hour on Kelly Starrett bs.

Just in general, I think seminars are very poor value. If you need coaching, invest in real coaching, as it's fairly impossible to get good coaching in one 6hr day.

That being said, the social aspect and the potential networking might make it worth it to you.

It seems fun. Probably not $125 fun, but I'll ask my sponsor

Stan was doing 2x/day training with lots of FPSy exercises for bbing with Flex Wheeler in the 90s; back then he wasn't rich and was presumably not on boatloads of human grade hgh. So yes, I agree that the ultra-minimalistic approach is not great for a lot of people, and he admits that's not what got him there.

However, I think a lot of people could make better gains on 3x or 4x/wk training, and doing too much with too many different exercises is a huge problem for a lot of internet lifterz. Me and RealB are very guilty of this and probably should have left the gym 20 minutes earlier and done fewer sessions throughout both our natty and our enhanced careers.

Sports psychologist

Are you playing a professional or semi-professional sport? Why do you think you need a head doc?

Barbell medicine "it's much easier to lose fat than build muscle" and "protein synthesis is elevated for only a short time, therefore split routiens are stupid and you must train boidy parts with high frequency to maximize gains", in the first 20 minutes. demonstrated themselves to be ******ed *******s.
