Thread meta commentary by dads in Volvos == death.

Aren't there any recent events that have sent Evo, jdock et al into orbit that they can give their steaming hot takes on? That's always super fun.

Was there ever any conclusion to the Vegas shooter? Did he indeed blow through his life savings then snap?

Gave it a quick googlin but didn't seem to be much.

According to Politards (or rather, some right wing tool quoted there), ISIS made him do it. Seems legit.

I went with the anti-psychiatry route and stand by it. Dude was on powerful mind altering medicine that has the potential to drive someone to violent behaviour and was not being adequately monitored by his physician/psychiatrist. Deadly combination when combined with addictive personality and professional gambling lifestyle.

Not trolling although it probably rustles people even harder than right wing viewpoints do.

This is why I just don't post anymore.

Can't really weigh in on Vegas shooter, all I know about it was from vaguely skimming a couple of 2p2 threads lol.

I think I may have just invented something amazing, if accidentally. On site with a client, I must have accidentally ordered "Beef with Broccoli" with extra chicken instead of "Chicken with Broccoli" with extra chicken (we always made beef with broccoli at my house, so that's the default in my mind, I guess).

It was glorious.

Can this be summed up with beef = amazing. Or are you saying that beef + chicken, broccoli turns out to be something more than the sum of its parts?

Are we talking Chinese food here?

In that case, I guess I could see it work, but the rare times I've had beef and chicken in something, I've felt it would have been better with just one or the other.

I'll give this a shot if the opportunity presents itself.

The inside outside grilled cheese is superior to all others

Brush inside and outside with butter

Grill with cheese inside

Regrill with cheese on outside

Sounds about right.

French: duck > lamb > stuff.
Norwegian: reindeer > deer > lamb > cow > the rest

Is there a H&F Approved TM way to cook an egg? I cook them over easy 90% poached 5% and scrambled 5%

Only a philistine would cook it so the yolk doesn't run imo.

Soft scrambled with butter a la Gordon Ramsay is pretty tasty too.

I do enjoy the runny yolk from a nice poached egg, though.

I do like 45/30/15/10 scrambled / sunny side up / over easy / poached.

I don't know what a gordon ramsay is, but I scramble with milk, pinch of salt, tiny bit of cracked pepper and often dried chilli flakes or garnish with fresh sliced chilli when I have it on hand.

I pretty much only do over easy when I'm putting it in a burger\sandwich so that it's slightly less runny than sunny side up.

I reckon I used to do 45% poached and 10% scrambled... but I saw the error of my ways.

Ok, I just googled gordon ramsay eggs and did some science and tried it. Confirmed slightly better than my usual effort.

Swapped out the milk for butter, and shockingly, butter made it slightly better.

I also added the salt and pepper at the end instead of the start. Can't be sure how much of a difference this made though due to the aforementioned wonder food (butter).

ime over easy can be more runny than sunny side up. Sunny side up you tend to over cook the bottom of the egg waiting for the top to set but with over easy you can flip it while the top is still basically liquid so it cooks the egg more evenly w/o over cooking the bottom of the egg.

I don't particularly like GR's scrambled eggs technique either, which is the French style iirc. I prefer to mix less and rather I pull/fold the eggs over slowly to let them form larger curds rather than the constant stirring.

wrt fertilized .... always un (that I know of) ^5

Usually scrambled out of convenience cuz I make egg sandwiches for breakfast 5-6 days a week.

Over easy the tastiest.
