There seems to be a few misconceptions about the circumstances involving my account, so I would like to take this opportunity to clear the air. *Anyways, when I started posting again, no agreement, explicit or implicit was made that I would only post in H&F. Anyways, there seems to also be some misconceptions around why I am in this circumstance in the first place. *So I would like to set the record straight there too. Again, I am giving my side of the story, and there is probably another side, and since we are going back years I may be getting some facts wrong, but I do believe I am getting the broad strokes right. *
Anyways, I have been posting on 2+2 since at the latest 2004 and maybe even earlier, although I didn’t join H&F until 2005-2006 I believe. *I went several years with no problems. At some point I started posting in the sportsbetting forum, which was probably a very, very bad idea. *Some very unsavory characters at that time there to say the least. Mikey was probably one of “kinder” posters, so that is all you probably need to know about the environment of that forum at that time. *Anyways, at some point I started getting doxxed, before that word had ever been invented or people took it as seriously as they do now (sometimes). I told the mod at the time, one MicroBob, and his response was to mock me. *I took it to ATF and got the same treatment. It was quite a contentious affair and resulted in me receiving my first permaban. I don’t think I even knew who banned me or exactly why (maybe I did and forgot?), which is a very common theme moving forward. *
Anyways, I waited a couple months and emailed Matt Sklansky explaining what happened and asked if I could come back. *He basically told me to start a new account if I wanted to come back. I don’t know if he even consulted with anyone and got the ok, or what. *I expect he didn’t.
Anyways, I did exactly that and made a new account and came back. *But I was forever branded with the scarlet “B” of a previous banned poster. *And since then, whenever some green or orange has felt I have gotten “out of line” they have decided to re-ban me under this pretense. *I will say, if you looked at any of my individual offenses, I doubt you would find anything particularly ban-worthy in itself. I get in heated arguments and troll sometimes, but I don’t get overly mean, insult people, or break any forum rules. *In fact, normally I am the one who gets personally attacked and insulted, and I take the high road, and I am still the one banned, because I am the one with the back history as a trouble maker.
Anyways, as far the story of me continually being allowed back to post exclusively in H&F, and continually breaking the rules, there is very little truth and a lot of falsehood in that. *Generally, I would make an account, post in various forums until a green or mod decided on whim to ban me, and that would be that. At one point years ago a particularly “industrious” orange named Killah took a special interest in me (for reasons unknown), and would continually find and ban me whenever I made a new account. *At that point I had a little more goodwill in the community than I do now, and our very own Soulman brokered a pact with Killah were I would be allowed to post exclusively in H&F. Under these terms I came back and posted exclusively in H&F for 1+ years. During this time period I noticed that Killah had disappeared from 2+2, and I decided to start posting in other forums again. *Soulman might still hold some ill will against me for this, and if he does I apologize to him for breaking the truce he brokered. It is just my nature I guess.
Anyways, I posted awhile in the other forums with no problems, until a green or orange noticed and banned me, and rinse and repeat until we are here today. *Also, at one point Monte may have also interceded on my behalf. I am not sure. It seems there has been a lot more communication about me than with me. When I get an account banned I pretty much never know the exact charge or who did it, although at this point it probably doesn’t matter much. *
Anyways, I have genuinely enjoyed being a part of this community for the past 10+ years, which is why I have been willingly repeating this particular Groundhog Day experience in seeming perpetuity. *I guess at some point I hope that all the greens and oranges who seem to care so much will move on or stop caring so much and leave me be, but this is obviously a too optimistic assessment of human nature and goodwill. *Anyways, I bear no ill will or anger to anyone here, hope everyone the best, and who knows what the future will hold.
