It tasted about the same as those high% abv gas station beers like steel reserve but this can is more like the relative price you'd pay for the value of budweiser or pbr type beers in America whereas the Amstel light, Hoegaarden, Peroni, Erdinger (some of the brands available here) type beers are much cheaper in America than here.
16oz Miller Ace 8% abv = $1.50
12oz Amstel Light = $6.50
That's 3x the prize of an average dive bar pint. I'd obviously prefer if they made the cheaper miller less abv and improve the taste but it's literally out on the shelves to compete with $2 pints of bad whiskey that sell a lot more because market demand is (outside of restaurants, bars and clubs) - cheapest way to get drunk.
