NOTC, you won't get 135 tonight, guaranteed. not trying to be a dick. do videotape if you try, though.

lol I'm certain you are correct. tbh I think I'll get it at least 1x5 but probably will fail at the end of the second set.

it's just a big ass jump. why don't you buy the washers? they cost like $15 shipped.

im planning to switch to 2.5 increments once I hit 135...don't ask me why, it's just a mental thing, I dunno. and I've been at 130 a couple of times before, so I don't think it's totally outside the realm of possibility that I could get it tonight. not that a weeks worth of solid eating will make a huge difference. we'll see!

squat
3x5x245 some clown was using my normal bar, so I think this actually was 245 instead of being +10 or whatever. I really need to weight that ****ing bar

Press: (135)
set 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7IPtYTaPdg
literally the bet set of press I've ever had. Wish I had a better angle. It was as close to perfect as I've ever gotten and the set was shockingly easy

set 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEXfDijK7jE
this one was ****ed up from the jump b/c I knocked the weight on the rack when I was stepping out. also I didn't get full ROM on rep 3, I think. that said, I don't think I cheated w/my knees, and I got the last rep up. didn't give up on it like some other people here might have done ^_^

set 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwqSn3shtVY
Cheat city. I bounce particularly bad on reps two and five.

looking over all the vids again, it looks like I bounce a bit on my first rep of every set. I'll have to pay attention to that. Anyway, all told I'm happy with the attempt. I'll give my self credit for like 11/15 pretty good reps. I'll do it again on Saturday, but I'm pretty happy overall.

whatevs. [x]big boy plates

just watched some squat failure videos on youtube...doesn't seem like the end of the world. I'm really scared to fail on squats :/

easy not to give up on reps when you cheat imo ^_^

knees bent in every rep, just moreso in the first rep of every set. you had locked knees for zero reps.

main form issues: the bar is way out in front of your head and you don't get under it until it's well above your head. you could do this weight legitimately if you fixed this stuff. it's like the bar is poisonous to your face you're so afraid of it.

lol. I don't see much cheating going on in the second set but yeah you basically nailed it. don't want to damage my beautiful face

you're right, i must have just watched the first rep. are you just breathing at random throughout these? you're not pausing anywhere.

yeah first rep is bad, and I do wobble around so that probably counts as cheating. I think I inhale on the way up and exhale on the way down

you push pressed everything

also, your walk in and out of the rack is pretty femmy and lol. I like it.

I'm no form expert, but I watched the first set and then read the comments and was like "Miles/Kidcolin, stop reading mai mind u cheaters."

I cheat some reps. My PR is probably nub. Whatev. I dunno how you fix this other than not bending your knees.

Failed on squats for first time a couple of weeks ago, it really isn't bad. Just go down to the bottom and dump it behind you, you will be very close to the safety bars in a squat rack. Doesn't make much noise either, unless you fail extremely spectacularly.

what's this touch and go BS? Reset the back after each rep. Back is still fairly rounded, but it's staying consistent throughout the lift. I just think your back is funny shaped based on when you bend over to grab the bar.

301 looks pretty decent to me. Better than the set of 5.

okay so I'm going to make one last attempt at linear progression. quit for a few weeks b/c of sickness/laziness. lost about 8 lbs, 100% of it muscle judging from todays work out

Weight: 236.8

squat:
1x5x225
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6Oik-IcMk4
It looks pretty good imo but I almost died. I've been averaging about 2k calories per lately and not getting much protein and it really showed today. I tried to amp it up the last couple of days but I don't think it necessarily works like that. Anyway, I'll probably do a light workout B on Tuesday before getting back into some legit 3x5 heavy sets

Bench:
1x5x190
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6YCBMIUTEQ
I'm too far out in front, but w/e not terrible

After my one set of bench/squat I went to the bathroom and sat on the toilet for about 20 minutes while trying not to die. I didn't even get to deadlifts. Also I weighed the thick bar that I've been using for squats finally, turns out it is 45 lbs, I have no idea what the guy that told me it was 55 was talking about. So mystery solved there

we have 55lb thick bars at my gym, and 45lb ones. I think the 45lb ones are just kinda ****ty bars.

Lifts look good imo. I forget.. looks like you're kinda high bar squatting, which would explain how you're getting so deep.
