I've been depressed and fat and lazy lately, so I'm going to make a plan. I dunno if I'll stick to it at all, but at least it makes me feel better making it.

Plan is to lose some weight. I'm going to try to keep progressing on the SS lifts b/c I haven't really failed yet. Going to cut it to two days per week though.

I'll be attempting ~2500 cals on non lifting days and ~3500 on lifting days, the main difference between the two will be more carbs on lifting days. I dunno how to do math or antying but this should work out to 1 or 1.5 lbs a week. going to eat whatever on Sunday's, probably Saturday's too.

structure will probably look like this
Mon: 2500 cal, HIIT or basketball
Tue: 2500 cal, off
Wed: 3500 cal, workout A
Thur: 2500 cal, HIIT or basketball
Fri: 2500 cal, Baseball or other sports related skill crap
Sat: 3500 cal, workout B
Sun: off

a crucial part of this plan revolves around eating breakfast, something I haven't managed to do despite wanting to for like, months.

Starting Weight: ~250, will probably do daily weight updates just to keep it current in my mind. I don't have any weight goals, really, just want to cut some fat while, hopefully, getting stronger. We'll see how it goes

That seems like a really small deficit, considering your maintenance is prolly 3200-3300.

yeah you're right, looking at it closer it looks like I should try for 3k on lifting days, which will probably just amount to a pwo shake and some choco milk post

Ok I was lazy and didn't read your list of activities. I'd monitor my recovery closely at least, and maybe 3.5k is fine with all that HIIT and basket.

Day 1, weighed in this morning at 251.2 lbs of sexiness

squat:
3x5x250

bench
3x5x200

deads
1x5x260

first three reps actually look pretty decent, breaks down a bit on the last two

gogogoogogo sunz out gunz out

250 lbs even this morning, 3k cals yesterday was extremely easy, although I was craving sugar hardcore. Going to buy a bunch of random diet soda today.

made my first steaks in my new cast iron pan last night, they were awesome. seared for two minutes each side on the stove top then put it in the oven at 500 degrees for about 4 mins, after throwing a nice hunk of butter on top. mmmmmm dieting

i need to get a cast iron pan for stuff like that and my homefries on the weekend that take up too much space in my saucepan

can you just buy them anywhere?

yeah man I thought it was going to be a super expensive item but I did some research and the consensus is that the ~30$ pan at Wal Mart is as good as any 100$ one you'd find in a specialty store. which make some sense, since it's just a hunk of iron

249.2 today, although it bounced around like crazy before stopping there. I have a feeling my scale kinda blows, but it doesn't matter

had my first baseball practice since learning that we're switching to wood bats. swing is different, I looked like **** yesterday

I support the cast iron skillet. I like to just get it really really hot on the stove top and then sear the meat really good, leaving the inside blood red.

Pro tip: don't weigh yourself every day on a moderate diet. Too low signal:noise.

I would do weekly or biweekly depending on how moderate it is.

I know. I think it's fine as long as I realize that it's not going to go down linearly or w/e, but yeah I'll only post in here on Sunday's or something

my elbow is totally ****ed, I'm really kicking myself for not getting it looked at after last season. I'm just going to deal with it until September though as I don't think I'll be asked to pitch at all this year anyway
