I actually did a bunch of sets conventional that day but it always looks wrong. I have woat deadlift proportions and am a terrible athlete. I'll post a video next time.

I'm starting something called the HEPBURN METHOD, created by the famous actress of the same name. I don't know if it's good but I like the rep scheme and the 2/2 layout fits my work schedule.

Think you're trying to set with the bar too close to your shins. Its not sumo so you can't get away with that. I have a similar problem trying to relearn conventional.

Hepburn looks interesting; I came across it a few months back and considered it. Will be following.

Agree with Aidan about the DL form; considering I'd imagine we're built pretty similarly from a height/limb length perspective, it seems like you should be able to get into a passable conventional stance. That said, I missed why you decided to move on from sumo; I thought it was working out well?
