Grunch

Yesterday I came home, went to eat with my buddy then came home and slept 12 hours. Too busy on my purpose that I forgot to shower... still tired. Can use another 2-3 more hours of sleep.

On my purpose again. This is my daily grind. Day 3 today, I will press, squat then bench in that order.

I think I need to diet down. Now 170lbs. 10lb gain. But my mom said I look like I lose weight when I saw her 2 weeks ago. It was lean gains I think, but still rocking some flub.

hey monte, for 2x paused dl, should i just start @ 135 and add 15-20lbs til i reach x6 @9? or do i have to find my RPE8?



Day 4

Double paused DL (1" off floor and just below knee) x6 @9, drop 5%, continue until @9

Bench x7 @9, drop 5%, continue until @9

Weighted chins x7 @8, continue until @9

Just do sets of 6 with big jumps in weight until you get to something that's somewhat difficult, then add 15 pounds and do another set, then add 15 pounds and do your top set. I kind of doubt you'll be able to do a real @9 set the first time you try a new movement. Also not sure about the value of a heavy single on a brand new movement.

so i forgot to continue until @9 for OHP... no wonder it felt so short. so i OHP, then squated, then getting rdy to CG BENCH then i realized i forgot to do the remaining sets for OHP. so i run back and do the last set then back to CG BENCH... its what happens when you keep yourself too busy..

man those 2x paused DL has killed my back... my back looks decent on video, but it was on fire after.. i tried really hard to squeeze my core. maybe just ran out of core strength. now i could have paused it a bit more, BUT I WAS GASED AND MY BACK COULD NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE. now when i got home, took a shower, and ran ice cold water on my back for a good 5 minutes in the shower. feeling better, but might be sore tomorrow.



also i think i need to diet down a bit. i look yoked and flubby a bit. now 170lbs. i wanted to eat light today, but then got invited to eat some BS southern chicken sandwich place(2nd best ive had. 1st is Hatti B's in TN), then went to a bubble tea place and ate a shake, then 3 donuts...
