I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that I am SHOCKED by this turn of events. I feel like the thread has let you down that literally NO ONE saw this coming and tried to lend advice to avoid it.

You have a point here. I think I could manage 8 hours making coffee with some rudimentary training, but having purpose while doing so would be a struggle. Kudos to you.

8 hours slanging and banging lattes sounds tough to me. I'm sure those grind days where you're on your feet all day then need to grind out a tough day at the gym will pay off though: mirin gains and bank gains. They will get easier as you continue to do them too.

And yeah pumping that girls throat might help relieve some stress.

Re: N1H's Log: Becoming a 3% Man 27 Emoticons at a Time

Lol. On the rare occasions you have to work 8 hours a day, you don't have anything close to a physically demanding job. I had a summer job painting houses after HS where I regularly slept 2-4hrs after partying all night. That was a hard job. I currently work 10-12 hour days M-TH and 8 hours most fridays and some Saturdays. I sit at a desk or in meetings 1/3 - 1/2 of my days, and spend the rest doing **** way more physically demanding than pouring coffee.

Somehow I still have plenty of energy for doing fun things despite not "focusing on my purpose" whatever the **** that means. Oh yeah I also take 2-3 classes/ semester working on a fairly difficult degree.

140x4, 140x4

wow. today felt great, even after a BS 8 hour shift. now i walk in, and a gum bunny at the door introduced me to a drink call 'Bang'. what is that? you guys having a promo? sorry, no need for a 16 pack. i walk by the supplments going to locker room and i see they have single cans in refrigerator. i am curious. what is this? oh energy drink. probably a gimmick. but i decide to try one bc it was 30% off.

i take half of it before my work out. WOW. i felt stronger than ever. not even lying. Monsters i get jitters, and feel sluggish bc of all the sugar and feel a bit bloat. but this Bang. 0 calories. 300mg caffeine. i was flying through my workout! loved it.

u see how i always b1tch about OHP bc of Bench and Squat before? today i tried 165. went up like a booger. felt strong AF!

loco, if we ABPxLoco PT.2 again, we must get a case. it will keep me alert. no more missing SURRENDER signal. i see you buying non-sense energy drinks. THIS IS THE DRINK.

Consider this: just because you "get exhausted" doesn't mean it's difficult from the standpoint of a reasonable person. You might just be weak mentally, possess a poor work ethic, etc.

All work is dignified if you take it seriously. But you would be a lot better off if you'd stop pretending that a part-time barista job is some sort of high-level wizardry and move on to something with better financial reward, more room for advancement, more meaning, or all of the above.

AbetaP,

Nevermind too mean. Comment redacted.

Good luck man. You'd be doing yourself a favor to quit lying to yourself about this purpose nonsense though.

You'd be better off owning the fact that you're low to medium status. Pride is a sin. AMS will lead you to the opposite of how God would want you to treat a woman

Part of me (probably most of me) wants to clown on him endlessly for all the "purpose" talk but sometimes I'm on the fence. He's actually trying to get his **** together for the first time, so just the idea of putting your head down and working hard(ish), and avoiding distractions, and saying to yourself every day that you're in a better spot than the day before, can be construed as having a true purpose.

The thing is I'm not sure I buy that it's happening, it's always two steps forward, 1+ step back for him. He gets offered a promotion at work, turns it down. He gets some extra hours, goes and buys the dumb fancy backpack. He saves a few bucks on commuting, reveals he's gone on monkey tilt with poker, etc. And bitches and moans about it all every step of the way.

Re: N1H's Log: Becoming a 3% Man 27 Emoticons at a Time

I guess the ultimate question is whether or not just indulging his ego reflexively protecting itself every time someone points out he's not actually the ultimate alpha java slingin' face ****in' poker playin' denim rawin' ubermensch will end up being the best thing for him. If, as jmakin supposes, this is the best to which he could reasonably aspire, then positive self talk probably isn't so bad. Personally, I think he could probably take a few more steps up the ladder, although a jmakin style total transformation seems pretty unlikely.

Ultimately, though, I'd guess this question is moot; someone other than him, be it a woman that decides to slap the crust out of his eyes or loco deciding to add him to the team on a semi-permanent basis, or both, is going to have to drag him into something approaching an adult level of maturity or there's no hope. I think this thread has reached the limit of what it can reasonably be expected to accomplish, given it involves reading, comprehending, and retaining the meaning of words and does not involve video of a total douchebag talking about how best to trick "females" into thinking you're worth ****ing.

Maybe i sounded too mean. I think itíd be ****ing awesome for him if he found some service job that could support his minor splurging habits and live at least without starving on his own.

Being a young good looking fit guy in a cool city with plenty of opportunities to **** chicks isnt a bad deal at all. His problems wont really come til 30 years from now but by then hopefully heís figured a few things out.

The only times i get annoyed is when he starts in on the god talk or acts like he doesnt have time to chase girls when hes just afraid to. Cmon man. You should be SLAYING. Live that abp life bro. Whatís the point of all this lifting and work if youíre not smashing these basic white girls on the reg? Even us 25% body fat desk job losers can accomplish that.

I think almost all progress is 2 steps forward and 1 step back.

I am the triple A player that never make it to the big league.

Funny. That douche Gronkowski retire. What is that? U have a SI bikini model as a GF? No wonder u quit. He isnt on his purpose. He lost himself bc of a girl. AMS and CCW are right.

On my purpose now. I think I got my cute supervisor a bit wet. She have trouble with sticker gun and ask me if I know how to fix it.. wasnt printing. Too easy. Sticker was jammed on the ink. She come back and look at me like the alpha DOM. Taking care of shiet. Loved it that look she give me.

See u.

Speaking of purpose, how come every time they ask me if I want to leave a little space for cream and I say yes they only fill the cup halfway with coffee. Do they really think I want a 1:1 coffee/cream ratio? Is this part of the training or something you end up at through trial and error?

There is often fundamental reasons for this.

Namely you've had a decade to build a bankroll but for some reason have not.

Why is that? There's the reason.

You'll have to join the rest of us plebs in real life jobs.
