I need a nice pair of baggy jeans. What do you recommend? No tight crap.

U need raw denim. They come in all cuts and sizes. Baggy is not your style. I see those skinny calves and in my head I am thinking of 1 cut of jeans that will suit you well.

You need slim tapered or slim straight. Baggy will make you look short and wide. U might want to try PureBlue Japan denim. They’re the best in the denim game at the moment. Slim is not tight. It’s just less fabric to make you look less sloppy. Still lots of room to move around in.

Ha! 40 hours is the minimum in my world. Americans in general are v lazy people. Some co workers ask me how I manage to work so much. Lol. They only freshman’s in college. Very lazy kids who barely work 12-15 scheduled hours. It’s pathetic. It’s gotten so bad my manager has to keep hiring people(as back ups) because of constant call offs.

Very nice day but was still sore from Tuesday. Going to stop maxing out in some sets, body fatigue hitting me now.

The manager that's doing the hiring maybe that's you needs to lay out the rules in the interview or first day. "Callouts aren't allowed without a doctors note. Two warnings then fired." You gotta stop it before it starts. Put the rules in writing and have them sign it.

Nope, doesn’t work like that with sbux. They are really soft on applying rules. They also don’t want to break some worker violation.

You can call in sick and use your “sick hours”. Basically you accumulate them little by little depending on how many hours you’ve worked. Basically if you call in sick and you were scheduled for 8 hours that day, you can use 8 “sick hours” if you have them, and still get paid for those 8 hours you called off.

It’s sad. Like 99% of people take advantage of that. It’s free money and lying.

Sad generation we live in. What ever happened to the hard hat lunch pail days???

I worked at a couple different coffee shops in the past and like 20+ years of retail/blue collar jobs, couple corporate type jobs. Last coffee company i worked at was Dunkin' and your place sounds a lot like it. Always callouts. In 2004 time period I worked at Caribou Coffee and literally there was never a callout. High School kids are just never realiable anywhere in general. There are exceptions though. You might want to hire college more.

Keep grinding. You sound like district manager material. You can still make a good salary in retail with the bonuses if you are store manager or district mngr or higher. Sucks they cap you at 40. Overtime pay is the best part of these kind of jobs. I used to do 50-55 hrs. If you are making around $17hr atleast thats extra $1000 month. I'd be making sure they are paying you as high as possible. They will. You'd be surprised how much the pay varies store to store i bet. It wasnt until i saw other stores and how ass. Managers who couldnt even do inventory were making $5 hr more than best managers at my old store.

My mom worked at a state university for like 30 years. When she retired she had accumulated about 6 months worth of paid sick days, and she got a pension. If you want to talk about entitlement and having an easy ride to middle classdom, boomers had it easier than just about anyone ever. Boomers are why everyone is ****ed now.

And now they're using the retirement/social security $ that we're paying into to get on the bus to the local casino and spew off at the blackjack table and slot machines. In a way, loco x abp is just a market correction of government reverse robinhood programs to rob the poor and give to the old rich boomers. We need an ABP x Loco sequel ASAP.

Spoiler:
but tbh just gas the boomers, age war now. not kidding dead srs. kinda.

I'm obviously completely divorced from reality since I know a bunch of people my age who grew up actually poor (not USA#1 poor). One is qq that they can't get upgrade their 911 to a new GT4 to park outside their million dollar home next to their other Porsche.

If you can't get it with all the systematic advantages of not growing engaging in subsistence farming, lol.

Very power session. Today I hit a 5 rep PR in the bench press. Very surprised at how bad I am estimating my 1@8. Anyways maxing out is the way to go for me. Gives me all the confidence to add more weight next session.

Currently a bit fat but only temporary. Might need to diet down 15lbs or so. Maybe in the winter. More gains to be made.

Agreed. Overtime is great money. It’s almost IT money.

Some managers are terrible. I cannot believe some of the managers I’ve seen at this company. No accountability. They are salaried and always never on time. They make their own schedules but they are always 30-40 minutes late. Some take advantage of that and get more and more lazy. Then they get fired. I’ve seen at least 3 get fired due to be lazy.

I think I’ll be having a talk soon about managing with my district manager. They are always hiring out of company managers and it’s bad. It’s like hiring a CrossFit coach for a power lifter. Ya you lift, but it’s a completely different thing.

lol yeah. If you just tell your district manager you want to learn how to run a store with the way the labor market is you will get it eventually. If you tell your boss they might not want to lose you and might not tell the district manager. It helps if your boss puts in the good word for you though hugely. But tell your store manager first so u don't piss them off going over them then follow up with district manager. If you fail and don't burn any bridges likely worst case is you go down to assistant manager and get a pay raise because you are now a former GM assistant.

Gotta get some yuppie manager from outside the bux who's probably never had to grind away in the trenches on his feet for 11 hours before. They can't promote the responsible reliable grinder because then it's all facking gen z lazy college and high school kids who are scrolling on tiktok 6 hours a day and don't have the attention span to make a vanilla latte without checking their instagram twice. Just lol @ this generation tbh.

Feel fatigued from days earlier. Now my arms don’t usually get sore, but lately my triceps has been fatigued for some reason. I been doing the iso lateral machine after my bench press, and it’s probably that. Love that machine.

i started doing overhead cable tricep extensions you know with the rope and the burn at the top of the lateral head is amazing. Seems to be a good finishing movement.

Yep. I love this exercise and I really love the single arm variation of it even more becuase setting up for the two arm variation when weights get heavy is actually kinda annoying.

What's the advantage of doing it overhead as opposed to a pushdown? I do single arm pushdowns with bands hooked onto my pullup bar at home, always get a good pump from it.

https://www.kenhub.com/en/library/an...brachii-muscle

Most muscles have different attachment points (lats as the best example), and different positioning can affect the recruitment of specific portions of that muscle. Biceps are a good example as well.

It is pretty deep in the FPS to actually worry about targeting a specific head. Do whatever you want.

PS: OH targets the long head btw. But who ****ing knows anything about anatomy when talking about exercising. Just get that pump fren.

Training arms is the equivalent of training calves, not quads/hams. Tiny, tiny muscles. Last time I trained arms directly was a decade ago.

Incline bench two wheels. Do 20 pull-ups and heavy rows.

Then tells us about arms.
N1H- The Return(Minus Butthole Pleasures) Quote

Ok, ok so my bro has huge guns and so did my dad. It's genetic.

But that's the point, I blast my calves and nothing. Pencils.

So recreational lifters don't have to worry about this shiet. Get a good bench. A good row. A good squat and/or deadlift variation.

And that's about all you can do. The realities of natty training.

In the history of mankind no 20 pull-up 225+ bench guy has ever had tiny arms, except jdock.

Now will training them accelerate your progress on the big lifts? Maybe, maybe just a hair. Basically worth a peanut.

targets the part of the tricep next to the shoulder more and the part next to the elbow less. Bit less stressful on elbows overall.
