i think this was addressed to n1h but in case it was directed to me
yes, i fully agree with everything you said about putting in the work, and i do put in the work, i just haven't put in the work on stuff that n1h is asking about because i've never bet that stuff myself
currently visiting my old friend from my 20s and staying at his place for a week, he's gone with me to the casino a bunch and i've literally showed him how i run the algos to determine what and where to bet what and instead he'll just stand next to me constructing a parlay out of a bunch of -500 favorites and then gets really annoyed when it loses - i'm literally there showing him the answer key and as my very good friend who invites me to stay with him and his family for a week, i'm willing to put in the time to coach him along the way and he'd rather just go about his own path - even where i explain to him how -ev his wagers are
doesn't matter how many times i tell him "yes that's going to win 90% of the time, but you're betting a line where it needs to win 95% of the time break even" and he says "yeah but i'm just betting it once, not thousands of times like you do"
