But I supposed I did accept that he was very good at it, so I guess I was also conned.

Rsigs was actually the biggest person outing Hbob. I've known James for something like 15y and worked with him previously. So unless he conned me into making a bunch of winning bets (shout out Rays), seems unlikely.

It basically boils down to the whole "I took my sky cab money and went all in on the Lakers" and then how he assumed a debt via selling Wagerstreet to TheGreek (which he admitted to lying about), and finally he posted some bizarre NBA 2H "strategy" that wasn't actually even a winner. While I never modeled NBA, it seems exceedingly likely he did partner up with a syndicate and use his professional connections to be able to get very large numbers on very soft lines and used that to fuel his winnings. But that is a game literally anyone can employ. (He shared some information to another person I worked with who relayed all this to a private chat I created eons ago.)

I'm sure you can root through the SB forum and find the thread. Maybe I will feel the motivation to search for it. Regardless, I'm honestly amazed at how he used this as a stepping stone to get his dream job, and he's obviously made a metric ass ton of money in crypto/other ventures. So maybe I should've just embellished a few of my accomplishments and been less acerbic, then I could be sitting here neckbearding about spray charts and speculating on how player X would play in RF with the context of his CF and relevant positioning we'd employ.

I will PM you sometime because I don't want to out myself and don't intend on posting here much, but it's extremely easy to figure out. We didn't end on good terms. I didn't like that you would turn down promotions, but having since flamed out of a successful career track because I can't ****ing stand the business or corporate bullshit, I think you were on to something. Good for you in not doing stuff you don't want to do. That's a recipe for becoming miserable like me.

I'm just getting really back into the game after not playing very seriously for a while. Game's crazy these days in the "solver era" where donks are completely misapplying and misunderstanding GTO theory. Seeing wild stuff right now. I honestly think we might be in a mild poker boom.

re: autism. Similar experience. My therapist tried to tell me for 5 years. I laughed at it, scoffed at it. I'm great with people. Girls love me. Etc. But being autistic doesn't mean you're always shitty with people at all. Lots of bad stereotypes.

When I finally "came out" to friends and family they all said "We thought you already knew." Similar to you, I talked to an old co-worker, I guess there were a lot of jokes behind my back about it. keep exploring it. There's no formal test for it in adults, so seeing a doctor is kind of pointless, but if you see a lot in common it's probably likely you're on the spectrum somewhere. A ton of people are.

For me, I ended up having to contact my bank to get it to go through. I kind of agree about GTO, but not completely. I think it's frequently misapplied and people often think GTO = winning poker, without understanding that if two people played perfect GTO they'd be playing to a draw.

The deposit is from the exchange to the wallet and then to Bovada. To cash out, same process but backwards.

The most tilting thing about all this gto solver nonsense is people actually try to take it to the live poker. The guy at the main event took like 20 minutes to decide with bottom pair to call or not. Like really bro??? Don’t bring that shiet to the live games. This is what bores people to death.

The most hilarious thing about gto is people will actually plug in ranges to justify their play is correct. I saw a video years ago where this dude on Leggo, 6bet shoved like 83o or some nonsense, and he had math to prove it wasn’t a bad play. Lol.

lol, when I came back I had similar thoughts he has, so probably. I'm shocked at how much new stuff there is, but a lot of it is not new at all. He'll adjust.

n1, for the games you play, you probably will deviate from GTOsolver lines quite a bit. give them a chance tho. at the very least you'll need to learn it so you know why people are playing the way they are against you.
