Yeah we'll see, definitely starting to see some upper body veins/separation, although I still have a little bit left to lose around my belly button.

Lower body is whatever because I have no muscle down there and I lift jellydick weights.

Thanks man, although I get a little rustled every time I open your log and see how utterly you're destroying me in OHP. Hopefully eating at the mythical FULL MAINTENANCE in a few months will help me ramp up the weight a bit.

I hold out hope that I can get up to relatively decent proportional lower body lifts (1.5x bw squat and 2x bw DL) at some point in 2014, but I'm not going to hold my breath; you've probably got a better chance of getting your upper body lifts out of jellydick territory once you stop cutting.

Meh, you're still kicking my ass in BP so I wouldn't worry too much. Plus I'm a fatty fat fat so I've gotta have something

191 on the button this morning, with 5 Omron readings the night before averaging out to 8.8. 185 is definitely the bottom for me, hopefully it'll be a bit higher; the wifeacore is getting salty and telling people I'm anorexic.

Thanks!

Stepped on the scale this morning, saw 190.6, frowned a bit, peed again, and got to 190.2. My weight yesterday evening was 193, and my Omron readings averaged out to around 9.4 pre-shower and 8.0 post shower slightly damp, so I'm guessing 9.4 is the "right" reading. Getting down to 188 at night is probably going to be about right; I think I look better at night than do first thing in the morning when I'm all dehydrated, so whatever. It's ~5 more lbs whichever way you slice it, so I'm just going to do that.

8/7
DL 5x235, 5x250, 8x265
FS 10x85, 10x100, 10x115
BSS 2x10x15
Pullthroughs 2x12x70
Hypers 3x15xbw+45
Pullups 2x8, 1x6 x bw
Hammer Machine Row 3x12x100
RKC Planks 3x30sec
Pallofs 3x12x35

The first 7 DL reps were pretty smooth and in rhythm, then my workout buddy asked me on the way down on my 7th rep if I was doing 10 and it got me all distracted, so I ended up bailing after 8 after I couldn't get my grip and tightness back. Meh, 10 might have been there. FS 10s were tough but fine, kept my knees shoved all the way out and felt no pain on the outside of my knee, so mission accomplished there. My pullups seem to have stalled, I might just try to AMRAP my three sets, since I have a few in the tank still on the first, or maybe increase the rest by 15 or 30 seconds.

When we were doing hypers, my buddy was whining about how it's harder for him to lose weight, and that he's probably already eating less than I am; he's eating pasta with cheese sauce for lunch, near as I can tell. I had many lels internally.

Damn, bro. I was 189 last night.

Accept my fatness, please.

180s coming soon for you!

Thanks man.

Now, for the inaugural episode of Montecore, Beta Office Lunch Detective:

Buddy: <comes over eating plum>
Monte: Damn dude, is that all you're going to eat for lunch (I know full well he was eating some mac and cheese **** earlier)
Buddy: I already ate something else
Monte: Oh, did you order something?
Buddy: Nah, I brought it from home.
Monte: Did you make it yourself or something?
Buddy: Yeah, I made it this weekend, so I had to eat it.
Monte: This is where you tell me what it was . . .
Buddy: Just some chicken.

I know the proper play would have been to immediately ISF him and shame him for his earlier comment, but my beta nature shines through once more. Let the lels at my expense continue.

I can confirm that anything approaching actual maintenance does wonders. I'm approaching all-time PRs on several lifts. I lost a bunch of strength on my cut, but it hasn't even taken that long to recover. You'll be shaming us all with 3 plate benches again soon enough.

We'll see about a 3 plate bench; it would be quite a bit more impressive doing it at 190-200 than doing it at 225ish or so when I did it the last time.

Went to the chiro this morning, she said everything looked good and to just keep doing my thoracic extension exercises and single arm pulldown stuff at the gym, but that the left trap dominance from the first session was much reduced. I'm not going back for another two weeks, so I'll have to step up my nightly routine to stay loose.

My weight this morning was 189.6; feels pretty good to break 190. A morning weight of 185 and/or evening weight of 187-188 is the official goal; I think I was something like 191.8 last night and 9.2 Omron before I went to bed, so a 5 lb loss with (hopefully) the majority of it being fat will probably get me to about where I want to be. Luckily we're having my father-in-law and a few of our friends over to the house tonight, where I will be grilling steak, sausage, and chicken and will have to resist the siren song of the nomzies while attempting to not be called out for being anorexic by the wifeacore. Good times.

Are you getting those chiro visits covered under insurance or paying out of pocket? If out of pocket, I'd be curious to see how much it is per session compared to when I went. I paid $40 each time.

It's covered by insurance, so we pay 20% of the cost of the treatment out of our HSA until we hit our yearly deductible. I haven't seen a bill from the insurance company yet, but it's definitely covered so I'm not too worried.

Thanks! Still a little fat, so still a little cutting that needs to go on.

The 36 in waist pants that I got a few weeks ago are pretty loose again; I might have to consider getting 34s if I can maintain this waist size when I'm on maintenance.

You're a solid three inches taller than me, roughly 30 pounds lighter, and much stronger. Way to give me a case of the sads, brah.

Very solid work on the weight loss. One day you're going to inspire me to actually clean up my diet.

That's a bit of hyperbole, your lower body lifts are still much better than mine. I've always sucked at squatting, but hopefully the switch to HBBS plus working to strengthen my back plus eventually eating at maintenance will eventually inch me towards respectability. I do want to DL 405 by the end of the year, which seems like it has an outside chance to happen.

Thanks! I never really thought I could or would ever do it, but it's all about intertia; I'm as stuck in this new way of eating as I was in the old one, and I don't think much is going to change once I finish the cut other than being able to include some nutritionally dense stuff (like white rice, which I love) with my lunches and dinners.

My thoughts exactly, I just want to get my lower body lifts raised to the point that I'm not included in the jellydick brigade and I'm good.

Typical partner anxiety because you're getting hawt and preparing to ditch her obv.

The Tinders await. But as we all know, top Tinder girl is a 10, and all H&F wives are minimum 11. Wifeacore is safe.

She actually mentioned that a few weeks ago, but she has the security in knowing I'm the alpha beta at heart, so I doubt she's worried.

She's definitely safe; she's raising both sets of my twins and I can't leave that.

Pretty much this, BTM setting snatch records all over the place. Living vicariously through his STD acquisition mode is enough.
