Working out today because I'm going to be flying tomorrow and didn't want to fit it in after getting settled; felt really good about my workout today and very comfortable with DLing, jellydick weights aside. Also, I've only got 2 more notches left on my medium Inzer, but I can't believe I'll ever need to move to a smaller one. I took some noodz in the Y again, but it had the same problem, so I deleted them -- dealwithit.jpg.

Weight: 193.2!

7/2
DL 3x240, 3x255, 7x270
FS 3x5x125
RDL 3x8x165
Pullthroughs 3x12x40
Hypers 3x15x45
Pullups 7, 7, 6
Hammer Machine Row 3x10x90
Planks 3x30 sec x bw+45
Pallofs 3x10x35

Felt like I had 1 or 2 more on the DL, but I felt a little upper back rounding and just played it safe. Everything else was appropriately difficult, and I was pretty soaked by the time I finished up.

Really excited to go on vacation tomorrow; I hope there's somewhere close by that I can lift (I'm set up to be able to lift every other day starting Thursday, so I think I should be able to do it).

Thanks buddy.

The wifeacore is starting to get a little sandy about me planning to continue working out over vacation; she thinks I'm being obsessive. It'll just be 75 minutes every other day; no big deal, right? Right. We move on, and I try to resist the siren song of alcohol and nomzies for 10 days.

Feel your pain brother. I had to buy a smaller belt a year or two ago and now I've only got a notch or two on the new one sigh. Keep up the good work.

Training during vacation is a must. Tell her it's a minibulk and train and eat 4000cals a day.

I love training during vacation. A breather from the girlfriend and 5000+ calorie days with beer and burgers??? Perfect.

Lol thanks I'm trying; hopefully only five more pounds to go on this cut so I should be safe.

Nah, I'm afraid to mini-bulk because I'm not sure I'll be able to go back to cutting if I do. Instead of the 2000-2300 on workout days and 1500-1800 on non-workout days, I'll just bump it up by a few hundred calories of alcohol and try to maintain. As long as I keep up doing IF it should be pretty doable; not a whole lot of time to eat when you're chasing kids around the beach. Goal is to come back from the beach maintaining whatever I weigh tomorrow morning, but we'll see.

Weight this morning: 192.6; probably going to try to run a mini-recomp while I'm there so I can eat a bit more food every now and again and enjoy vacation a bit. Should be landing in HH around 230, pretty stoked!

That sounds cool. Have fun eating a bit more and socializing, don't nit it up all too much.

Lol I'll try; I've already been pre-yelled at by the wifeacore to not be "crazy about my diet" so we'll see how it goes.

This sandyness/preyelling hits home for me bigtime. Why is it so bad that I want to eat well and workout when I go some place? They aren't mutually exclusive from having a good time. I can find something healthy to eat anywhere, take a small bite of the dessert you get, and find something heavy to lift up and down while you nap or shop or whatever. Maybe I'm being obsessive but I don't see how that's a bad thing. I'd rather be obsessive about something constructive than obsessive about something detrimental.

And grats on the 193! Now go get a goddamn tan.

I hear all that brother; Aidan PMed me his copy of Starting Tan, so hopefully I'll be able to utilize some of those principles.

In other news, we just got kicked off our plane to HH because there weren't enough infant life vests; thanks Obama.

Hope you have a great vacation, bro.

Congrats on the weight management.

Rock your natural color imo. Never understood tanning. I mean, if you get a tan "naturally" from being out on the beach, great, but to seek it and bake or spray yourself is odd to me.

Maybe you'll come back ready for a lean bulk. prs and moar food!

Have fun!

Thanks!

Cutting is just not going to happen down here, the amount of food is just incredible, and it's too hard to resist everything. I'm doing little things here and there (no buns with burgers or dogs, that sort of thing), but the amount of ice cream and cake is hard to avoid completely. Hopefully I don't gain too much; we'll see.

I must have misread a portion of Starting Tan, because either my brother in law missed a large swath of my back, or it washed off, because I've got a pretty bad burn on my shoulders and upper back. I'm going to have to wear a shirt at the beach for the next few weeks at least.

No real weights at the fitness center at the club (no barbells, dumbbells up to 50 lbs), but I made do I guess:

Machine Chest Press 10x90, 10x130, 10x170, 10x210, 8x230, 8x250, 6x270, 6x290
Seated DB OHP 2x8x45, 2x8x50
DB Incline Flye 3x15x20
Cable Front Raise 3x12x10
Cable Lateral Raise 3x10x10
Neutral Grip Pullups 10, 7, 6xbw
1 Arm DB Row 4x12x50
Facepulls 3x12x70 (weird cable machine, this still felt pretty light)
Machine Curl 3x12x70
Standing DB Hammer 3x10x25

Stacking out on the bench press machine was pretty fun when I was working in with an 80 year old guy doing 30 pounds, but it was pretty lame because it was the equivalent of starting off with the bar 6 inches off your chest. Vertical machine floor presses maybe?

Leg day is going to be pretty lame, because there's just leg press, leg extension, and leg curl, but whatever, at least I won't completely atrophy while I'm down here. I also get a pretty good workout throwing my nieces around in the surf, so whatever.

Leg press, DB split squats, leg extensions, leg curls, slow mo DB stiff legged deadlift with the 50s. Finish her off with 3x15 1arm swings with the 50.

Solid calorie burn. Some hypertrophy. But best of all, habit of going to the gym gets more ingrained than ever. Serious business when we going to gym on vacation.

Thanks guys. loco, I sort of took your advice, but it turns out there was no leg extension machine and I was having a hard time keeping my lower back in extension with the DB RDLs, so I quit after one set. I also had to get back to the minicores, so this session was somewhat abbreviated.

7/6
Leg Press 10x90, 10x130, 10x170, 10x210, 10x250, 10x290, 10x310, 10x330
Bulg SS 3x10x10
Leg Curl 12x90, 12x100, 12x110
DB RDL 1x15x50
Pullthroughs 3x10x80
Neutral Grip Pullups 3x8xbw
Machine Row 12x90, 12x100, 12x110, 12x120, 12x130
Pallofs 3x10x60

Probably should have done one more set on the leg press, but I'll dial up the weight a bit on Wednesday. I wasn't really feeling this today, but I'm glad I ducked out for an hour to get something done. Looking forward to playing some golf tomorrow.

It has been a true festival of nomzies down here; had a ton of Goldfish crackers with my nieces yesterday, in addition to a rack of ribs, two chicken thighs, corn salad, greek pasta salad, and two Klondike bars -- I'm going to look like CR when I come back. The only saving grace is that I borrowed JF's calorie calculator, and I burn about 2K calories throwing my nieces over waves for two hours when we go to the beach, so it's all good. WIM and whatnot.

Monte probably the only one that could come back from that nomzie fest and have still lost a kilo or two. Keep throwing young children. Epoc+hypertrophy achieved.
