I hit up McD's with N1 a couple of times after marathon casino sessions, his order is QPC combo with Sprite.

I sighed.

You mean it wasn't a Double QPC?!

Weak.

I have no idea how this is interesting to anyone, but two grilled chicken sandwiches, a side salad, a caramel McFlurry, and a bottle of water.

Melk,

I'd been up since 6, last ate at 7, had been working from 8 until leaving for the gym, and it was around 3 when I finished lifting. I'll try to be more careful with what I reveal about my post workout meals in the future (sometimes, in the States, it's Chipotle for quad meat/double bean/double rice).

3/12: Sheilfko C2W9D3

Still in France, so still commie units.

A
Squat: wu, 80x3, 95x3, 110x3x2, 120x2x5 (2 minutes)

B
Bench: 60x5, 75x5, 85x3x2, 92.5x2x2, 97.5x1x3 (1.5 minutes)

C
Leg Press: wu, 3x6x3.5 plates per side (1.5 minutes)

45 minutes.

Pretty easy session in preparation for testing next week, so trimmed the rest times a bit.

Used my sperg powers to notice that the guy next to my squat rack (who was incline benching using the Smith machine) was less situationally aware than N1 in a mattress store, so I wasn't surprised when I watched him walk headfirst into the squat bar while I had 120 on my back (I had paused for about five seconds after I unracked because I knew he was about to circle out from under the bar in the optimally worst direction). No blood, which depending on how far towards the KC end of the evil scale you lean, was either fortunate or unfortunate. For bench, I "worked in" with some decently jacked Eastern European kid that sat down and started using the bench after I reserved it and went to get a drink, then felt a bit better when he failed to triple 90 and tapped out. Interesting session for sure.

Definitely unfortunate. Though more blood could potentially cause you some trouble and questioning from the gendarmes so it might be a wash.

Congrats on taking out a French enemy. Very deep cover you have going there.

Aside 1: Quad meat... u rich **** watch out in france they will behead you... stay in the palace or armoured carriage imo.

Aside 2: H&F Film Societie review: The Favourite... trrbull, yet perhaps indicative of what it must be like to be "mbn Monte" and get quad meat at Chipotle.

Fin. Have fun in France.

Did you throw away buns? Added jam?

Edit: Missed a page of posts so didn't realise the conversation was over.
Note to self: Periodically ask Monte what his post workout meals are.

I'm not judging. I'll leave that to Rexx. Like I said, time-related factors would explain it just fine. And it seems those were in play. Even if they weren't, I don't think there is anything wrong with it, just seemed out of character for an epicurean such as yourself.

FWIW, that McD order is quite solid and certainly very Montecorish. One less McFlurry and loco might have been randymarsh.jpg. I'm assuming, of course, that any mayo-based sauce on the sandwiches was at an absolute minimum.

I like your Chipotle order even better. Never even considered quad meat.

BTW, any interesting local items on the menu at McDonalds in that part of France?

Thankfully Monte has a sense of humour so I and unnamed others can make fun of meaningless things like McDonald meals and not fear raging green wrathful retribution. All praise to Monte!

Agreed. Monte doing that would be way weirder than going to a McDonalds in France. His mod game is solid.

It's amazing how common bolded is among mods. It's really the rule rather than the exception.

I wondered if he got mayo or no mayo on those sammiches. I mean not mentioning no mayo seems to indicate mayo was had, but I’m not sure which brings more shame in this particular line—asking for no mayo or eating it.

DT,

90+% of the time I Chipotle involves a business trip, so I expense all four meats in those instances. I think that makes up for not taking business class even in instances in which it's contractually allowed.

Melk,

I didn't really peruse, but there were some weird looking things on there for sure. Case in point:

Rexx,

I kept the onion jam.

JT,

Lolobv that no mayo was consumed; c'mon son.

DT,

Indeed; I guess I'm just too beta to expense it.

In other news, was feeling pretty jet-lagged today, and, given that, testing maxes four days from now seems to have little upside. I was planning on switching to a BBM template after this Sheiko cycle regardless, so I just did it a bit early.

3/15: BBM Hypertrophy C1W1D1

Squat (3 minutes):
225x6 @6
240x6 @7
255x6x2 @8, 8

OHP (2.5 minutes):
105x6 @6,
115x6 @7.5
125x6x2 @8-8.5, 9
Facepulls: 8x15

DB Bench Press (myo reps):
50s x15
50s x3x3

45 minutes.

Work capacity was kind of garbage; not sure how much of it was all of the travel and food over the last week and a half, but I'm sure it didn't help. Added 30 seconds to the rest periods I was using on Sheiko, cause more reps.

Squats were harder than they should have been, but it's been a while since I've done a set with more than four reps in it, so not super surprising. Video'd from the opposite side (my right side) and saw the bar coming forward a non-trivial amount over midfoot, so I think I'm twisting a bit on that side. Next set looked a bit better when I was more mindful of it. I might have been able to do a bit more weight here, but didn't want to push it.

Overshot the target OHP RPE a bit, mostly because I switched to paused reps as per KC's suggestion. I'd imagine I should improve on these relatively quickly, though. Myo rep DB bench was harder than I'd expected. Probably going to be sore tomorrow, but that's k.

3/16: BBM Hypertrophy C1W1D2

DL (3 minutes):
285x6 @6
300x6 @7
315x6x2 @8, 8.5

Bench (2.5 minutes):
195x6x2 @7, 7.5
205x6x2 @8.5, 9
Facepulls: 8x15

Leg Press (myo reps):
200 x15
200 x5x4, x4

Shade over 45 minutes.

Overshot the upper body RPE target again; higher rep work capacity is going to take a while to come back, I suppose. Leg press was light (2 plates per side), but I didn't want to annihilate myself and have crippling DOMS tomorrow, so kept it on the easy side.

Elbows felt a little crunchy after yesterday/this morning, but that's just an acclimation issue - should be fine in a week or so.

Ab Wheel (7 minutes):
bw x8x6

Dips (2 minutes between sets):
bw x15x3

EZ Curl (2 minutes between sets):
45x15x3

Treadmill: 1.8 mi/30 minutes

60 minutes.

All k.

You get crippling DOMS from leg press? Wat. Honestly I don't think I have ever gotten DOMS from leg press. Ever. Maybe a 10x10 would do it.

Now I see why, load up two plates and crank out 25 reps.

Liking this new workout, might be something I can squeeze in. Is it a 3day split?

Four days lifting, two days GPP.

I'll be adding weight as I acclimate to the volume, obviously.

3/18: BBM Hypertrophy C1W1D3

Squat (4 minutes):
220x8 @6
230x8 @7
240x8x2 @7.5, 8

Incline Bench (3 minutes):
125x8 @6
135x8 @7
145x8x2 @7.5, 8
Facepulls: 8x15

Seated DB Press (myo reps):
30s x15
30s x3x3, x2

50 minutes.

Pretty k. Increased rest a bit and it seemed to help with recovery.

Bit sore from the ab wheel, but nothing terrible. Back at it tomorrow.

3/19: BBM Hypertrophy C1W1D4

Deficit DL (3.5 minutes):
225x8 @6
235x8 @6.5-7
245x8x2 @7.5-8, 7.5-8

CG Bench (3 minutes):
155x8 @6
165x8 @7
175x8x2 @7.5, 8

Pendlays (myo reps):
95 x15
95 x4x2, x3

Shade under 40 minutes, now sauna.

All k. DL was probably a little light, but there's room to add weight. CG was about right.

Still k.
