After this I'm going to keep this to pms but for the last 3 weeks I've been drinking at least an 18 pack a day.6 out of 7 days of the week. There is a specific reason though and that's why I want to talk to Monte and aura. Any questions you can post here and I will either respond or pm. I really appreciate all the support.

Sorry for messing up your log Monte. Ss, I'm sorry as well cause I'm only drunk when I respond to you, no hard feelings man

Good luck, weasel. Hopefully this is the time you get sorted out.

No idea if it will help, but there is a long discussion over in OOT regarding alcohol/alcoholism that I lurk/sweat.

We're all here for you Weasel. Sounds like you're having a rough go at it at the moment.

At some point soon, it sounds like you might need some professional help. Hang in there buddy.

SS,

2/20 (192.0 lbs)
C2 Row: 34:00 mins (7541 m)
HLR: 4x10
LISS (Treadmill, 3% incline): 30 minutes (1.8 miles)

Rowing WoD:
Quote:
4 x 6 min / 2 min easy: Row four 6 minute pieces. Row for two minutes at light pressure between each piece.
WoD done as written with 2 minute warm-up before the first piece and cool-down after the last piece. Woke up a bit early so I decided to rip off the bandaid and get this out of the way.

Won't hurt to ask, though.
Don't let the abs fool you. I'm pretty sure if he went on a YTF style binge for 2 months and lost any trace of abs, he would still be doing about the same volume wise. The girls might not be quite as attractive, but it would be closer than one might think. He just seems like a nice guy who has the system figured out.

Also don't let the "Tinder" in Tinder King fool you. BTM excels in all formats. Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OKC, POF, etc. And if a new one comes along he'll crack that.

Part of me wonders why you're even going this route. You managed the gym pick up, which is way higher on a degree of difficulty scale. You should just go back to that well.

Well, I am much better in person, but I didn't exactly pull a "gym pick up" by randomly asking women out.

We interacted a few times before having a proper conversation- which she initiated.

I'm going to try to get out more. I'm considering meetup.com meetups and maybe karaoke. I enjoy karaoke, but I hate bars.

I don't put myself in situations where a conversation is even possible (other than the gym).

I am literally the last person who you should look to for advice on these things but several single bros and broettes that I know claim that coed sports leagues and volunteer work are both really good ways to meet people for your purposes. In fact, I think I even saw both mentioned in an OOT thread on the topic.

Wasn't planning on going to the gym today, but I had dim sum for brunch and I felt like some atonement was needed.

2/21 (190.4 lbs)
C2 Row: 27:53 mins (6558 m)

Quote:
3 x 2000m / 3 min easy
Row three 2000 meter pieces. Row for three minutes at light pressure between each 2000.
Knee still feeling kind of jacked up from having it crushed between the stairwell and a giant piece of furniture yesterday, but I thought a little active recovery might be useful. I'll take squatting by ear tomorrow.

I figured out the mystery of why my pace (time/500 m) is so terrible; I measured the drag of the rower at the damper setting I was using (~3) and it was below 100. Apparently 110-130 is a better target; I raised the damper up to ~4.5, and magically my pace improved (although it was harder). I was supposed to do three 2000 m pieces but only ended up doing two because my knee was starting to hurt and this was a fair bit more cardiovascularly challenging; I expect I'll see some improvement at these settings going forward though.

Squatting a definite no go today; actually kind of disappointed. I think I should be able to DL on Wednesday, though, since it doesn't really hurt until I get down into a deep squat.

2/22 (191.4 lbs)

A
OHP (reset): 2x5x120, 1x9x120
DB Row: 4x10x100

B
Dips: 4x5x+85 (PR)
Facepulls: 6x12x47.5

C
Cable Lateral Raise: 4x12x10
DB Hammer Curl: 3x11x35

D
C2 Row: 20:22.4 mins (5000 m)

OHP felt fine; dips were a legit PR. Kind of excited to potentially get 5 across with two plates on Friday.

Since I couldn't squat, I decided to row a 5K for time; much harder (although more efficient) with the higher damper session. I think I should be able to get sub 20 minutes for a 5k within another few months, maybe, which would be pretty sweet.

Oh, I see. Knee.

Thought it might be buried deep in the LC content.

Dips are very impressive.

A 20 minute 5k on the rower seems good. Finally you've found an exercise where your freakishly long limbs come in handy.

On the road; the gym I used had a ****ty rower, but I made do. Deadlifting tomorrow, assuming my knee cooperates.

2/24

A
SSPT DL (Round 1, Week 8, 90%, 350 1RM, 90 s rest): 5x1x315

B
Bench: 2x5x195; 1x10x195 (reset)
NG Chins: 2x6x+45, 2x5x+45

C
Standing DB Shoulder Press: 4x10x35
Facepulls: 6x12x47.5

D
Cable Tricep Pressdown: 4x12x77.5
EZCurl: 3x10x70

Not bad for another workout on the road. DL still easy. Getting 10 reps on bench was nice; may have fixed something important in my setup, as I got and stayed really tight in the upper back/lat area for the first time in forever.

Home tomorrow.

It was three 2k sessions with three minutes of light rowing in between. Not too bad other than the fact that the rower was a piece of ****.

Row 12 hard 250 meter pieces. Row for 250 meters at light pressure between each piece.
Did a 750 m warm-up and 500 m cool down to get to 7000 m. Was a fair bit harder than I expected, but managing not to pussy out was a pleasant surprise.

Dips obviously a PR; feels pretty good to get to the elusive 2 plate for reps barrier. Not sure if I'm going to keep adding weight, or drop down to a plate or something and go for volume and try to ratchet my way back up. Added some DB bench work in because I'm probably a bit light on direct chest work. Knee is feeling better, and I'll probably squat again next week.

doing anything with a hanging weight for less than 10 reps just seems you spend half the time just rigging the weight belt up
