I dont think it would hurt to try sumo to see if you like it better
Yeah, this is a good suggestion imo as well, probably need to work on that groin flexibility for this anyway, so might as well try sumo.

Just wanted to pop in for the lolHibbert.

Good news though for game 2! (I think you are going?)

From Hibbert:

Quote:
I'm going to change some things up for the second game. I'm going to look within myself and go out there and figure it out.
Btw I really was impressed with Hibbs over the last couple of years. Seemed he worked his ass off, stayed humble, and really had a strong mental toughness. Oops.

This one is pretty top lels too imo:

I really do hope he gets his ** together, btw.

Did the Wizards sweep the series yet?

I believe so. I think Hibbert is already on a lake somewhere fishing, Paul George is at the mall taking selfies of himself in ridiculous outfits, and Lance is in restaurants barking orders at servers with a crazed look on his face.

Late to the squat game but it's no coincidence that every time I see a video of someone squatting in MC hammer pants, they inevitably look like they're struggling. Better get short shorts and on the gain train.

I bet Roy Hibbert squats in hammer pants.

Long femurs, though.

Thanks for the squat advice guys, I'll be sure to tinker with it next week.

Regarding the Pacers game, I was there last night and it was not a pretty sight; Hibbert got early fouls and just never appeared comfortable. Having to guard Nene was not really optimal for him, and I wonder if his confidence has been sapped to the point that it's time to look for other options this series (the problem is there aren't any).

Rudik,

I struggle in exactly the same way when I'm squatting the bar, so you may be onto something.

5/6

Bench
10x45, 10x95, 5x135, 3x175, 2x205, 1x225
3x6x240
2x10x185

Facepulls
8x15x50

DB Row
3x8x100

DB Shoulder Press
2x10x50

DB Curl
2x6x45, 15x30

Cable Lateral Raise
3x12x12.5

Cable Row (Closegrip)
3x15x100

Got all 18 reps at 240 -- they were grindy, but I made it; my workout buddy was out of the office, so maybe that was the issue. I've upped the number of reps and weight on the facepulls a fair bit recently, and it feels good, so hopefully I can keep improving there, because I think it's helping my overall rear delt strength. Everything else was standard/easy.

My shoulders are feeling better, so maybe I just needed a month or so to fully stretch myself out for LBBS.

45 minute walk @ 4.6 and 2.0 incline = 3.45 miles total.

Let me know when I get to an incline that isn't embarrassing.

How could any incline be embarrassing? Plenty of no incline cardio to be had that is anything but embarrassing.

Yugo,

Long femurs though. 2.0 incline is basically downhill for Monte.

Our orange brother has shamed me for walking with little to no incline, so I'm trying to improve myself in his eyes, which is actually kind of pathetic.

I will admit that long legs are an advantage here, as I could probably work up to the speed at which my wife runs (and she's saw's height) and still be walking.

You talls and your god damn walking speeds.

Meh. If you're doing LISS I'm not sure what the point is. Agent Orange was probably trying to con you into doing HIIT or something.

It's nice out, go take a walk in the park, or around the block if that's too far.

POW,

I walked to the park yesterday and played with the bubs for an hour, so I'm getting my outside time in; for my #workout, I prefer to do it at a speed I can control for an exact duration because it's easier for me to track progress. With the weather improvement, we are going to the park with the boys/going on bike rides/etc multiple times a week, and I don't ever log those.

What he means, PoW, is that there ain't no incline in the park.

Actually, the park I went to yesterday is right across the street from my office; home-gym-office triangle integrity confirmed maintained.

5/8

Front Squat
10x45, 5x95, 5x115, 3x135, 2x155, 3x5x175

Wide Stance Box Squats
3x135, 8x3x165

DL (speed)
10x135, 5x185, 3x5x235

Bulgarian SS
2x10x15

Front squats were a PR, but I'll probably video them next time to make sure my form is half decent; everything else was fine.

There was an older (~50ish? not sure) black guy in the locker room that I've seen quite a bit and moves some weight around, but always wears sort of baggy clothes; I had never really interacted much with him other than a head nod here and there. In any case, I saw him with his shirt off for the first time ever, and he is quite possibly the most jacked person I have ever seen in person -- golden loco lean with as much LBM as fatsaw. I'm quite sure loco would have started spontaneously blowing him, but I was just kind of amazed, partially inspired and partially saddened. I'm assuming 90% of his gainz are from optimal femur proportions, so I don't think there's much hope for me (not that there was much to begin with, but now there's even less).

Monte,

What sort of handicap should be taken into account for lifters with long femurs when scoring applicants for this years's Golden Busto? Or should lifters with long femurs be auto-DQd?

fakebusto,

There should be a separate category, obviously.
