Thanks, breauxs, though I have some lower Achilles soreness today, likely from the added volume in general and doing it on the treadmill specifically. Time to sack up and wear layers, I guess, though all the runs this week are quite short so that's nice.

How do you find the mental challenge of steady state on a treadmill vs an erg? Are you watching shows while running?
I just listen to podcasts; it's tolerable but not great. I wanted to get used to figuring out what certain levels of effort "felt" like and get used to running at a consistent pace, but that's just cope.

Yeah, it was definitely weird; went from "this kind of hurts a bit, I wonder what I did" to "my lower leg is twice the size it normally is" remarkably quickly. Definitely glad we caught it when we did.

I just plugged my target date, distance, and number of training days per week into my watch and it programs for me. Since I know nothing about running, it's helpful to have to do zero thinking.
