Pretty nice PR here, even if it did essentially come from being able to keep negative splitting over the last two intervals. Still counts!
I think I said a few iterations of this piece ago that I thought getting to 15000 total meters for the hour would be a nice mini-milestone, which I ended up doing by not stopping for any water during any of the 1:00 rest periods where I just paddle lightly. I ended up doing a bit over 3300 meters in those rest periods as opposed to 2700ish last time; admittedly this is kind of a stupid goal since the point of the piece is the total work distance, but given 15000m in 60:00 is also kind of a mini-milestone for hobbyist rowers like myself, being able to just kind of half-assedly knock it out for the first time is a nice way to end the year. Doing 12000m flat on this piece is the next mini-goal, which feels doable in the next few months.
Off day tomorrow, so it seems like as good a time as any for a 2020 wrap-up/2021 goals post. Celebrate safely, S&F.
