The Elusive315 seems just that.

They are too deep. Go hair below parallel and power bottom out. Easy game.

And the sleep excuse is EVgonnaEV. I have seen the sleep studies and recall them being based on sleeping 3 hours a day for multiple days. Yeah it effects lifting, but not some random single day when you get 5.

I squatted 315 three months ago, friend.

Yes, but you squatting 315 is like loco paying attention to details. Maybe it happened that one time, but even if it did...did it really?

9/14: 186.4

A
Barbell Bench (Cycle 3, TM 235): wu, 175x5, 200x3, 225x1, 240x1, 260x1 (9), 225x7 (9.5), 210x9, 185x11
Hammer Strength Row (Single Arm): 6x10
One Arm Cable Row: 6x12

B
DB Incline Bench: 5x8x75
Machine Rear Fly: 6x12
Single Arm Lat Pulldown: 6x12

C
Lying DB Skullcrushers: 4x12
Upsidedown KB Press: 4x10

Pretty great day lifting; was about where I thought I should be wrt getting bench reps. 260 was smooth; 7th rep on 225 was a bit of a grinder but never in doubt, and I got good volume on the backoff sets. Added weight on all the row variants. Jumped up to the 75s for my volume incline and probably could have done 9s. Diet good. Feelin good. K.

9/15: 185.4

A
5/3/1 DL (Cycle 2, 315 TM): wu, 5x255, 3x275, 1x300, 1x325, 1x345, 8x290, 8x275, 8x250
Seated DB Press: wu, 5x10x60

B
Squat (light, recovery): wu, 3x7x215
Facepull: 8x15
Zottman Curls: 4x12

C
Back extensions: 4x10xbw
Upside down KB press: 4x10

****ed up loading for the main AMRAP (should have been 300 but loaded 290); I'll just up the TM for the next cycle by 5 pounds and go from there. Things seemed k otherwise, though. Upped the recovery squats to 3x7. 5x10x60 lb seated DB press is for sure a volume PR; guess I'm moving up to the 70s for my heavy day next week.

Diet on point; I think 183-185 is a good base. We'll see if I can keep it up.

I wouldn't hesitate to go up the usual 10 pounds TM just because of a 3% loading error where you pulled 8% and15% more than that then AMRAPed 7 reps on what is supposed to be your *goal* of doing one or more. The thought would literally never occur to me. Besides, there's a good chance if you took in a fair scale you'd actually find the plates totaled closer to 300 anyway.

345 looked good.

Quite a fair point, Holliday, though I've been erring on the side of caution with squatting and only increasing by 5 pounds per training cycle.

TM 325 training max it is -- should yield a 310 work set on the 1s day. You had better believe I'm sticking with that instead of 315 to fully troll myself.

Still k. Kids' soccer game again this morning, then Costco. Hard to get more #dadlyfe, though my fancylad Aunt and Uncle are in town, so we'll be going out to a fancylad dinner tonight. Going to try to stay within the realm of reasonable.

EV finally made a good point, every weekend is a refeed.

I WANT.

Yes loco, I'm sure you must be jealous of the endless hedonism of the dadlyfe. Your life sounds like a joyless grind in comparison.

Pretty reasonable weekend!

A
OHP (paused): wu, 2x135, 1x150 (7), 3x5x125, 8x125
NG chins: 8xbw, 3xbw+35, 3xbw+45, 3xbw+55, 3xbw+65, 3xbw+75
DB Pullover: 4x10x90

B
DB Bench: 7x100, 5x100, 6x100
Facepulls: 8x15

C
Dips: wu, 5xbw+35, 5xbw+50, 5xbw+65, 5xbw+80, 4xbw+95
DB Hammer: 4x12x35
Bayesian Curls: 4x12
Upsidedown KB Press: 4x8

Decided to just move to 100% paused OHP and try to get my **** in order; tried to feel the weight a bit more over midfoot and not flex my lumbar as much, and I think I was successful. DB bench felt all kinds of heavy; was hoping for 7 across, but it just wasn't happening. Trying to get my 5RM for dips up to 100x5, but just didn't have the fifth rep at 95 today.

ROM check for chins -- left arm seems a fair bit straight, and feels almost healed. It's been a long 3-4 months:

If you walked to the phone before taking off the obnoxious weights dangling down, you are a confirmed tool. However, you edited it so there is still hope.

That's pretty good.

Maybe 300x1 should be a club. Probably less than 5 make it.

9/19: 187.0

A
5/3/1 Squat (Cycle 11, TM 290): wu, 5x190, 5x220, 1x245, 3x270, 2,fx290, 8x245 (8.5-9), 8x230, 8x205

B
RDLs: wu, 4x8x225
Upsidedown KB Press: 4x8

C
Back extensions: 4x10

Squats are just feeling heavy these days; got to the same sticking point on the 3rd 290 rep as I did on last week's 315 and just didn't grind through it. Had another rep or two in the tank in the AMRAP upon video review too. Meh, I need a WIM infusion. And probably a more well balanced diet during the weekend so I can eat more during the week.
