MLYLT,

Nice job not smoking for four days! Don't know if I'd call that "not smoking" just yet, though.

To be fair, she was just answering a question; she wasn't spontaneously declaring victory.

Brown,

I dunno, I always crave and eat a lot of sugary fatty food when I'm sick, body just wants some easy energy... Anecdotally speaking only, it seems ok.

I'm only at 719cals today. I'm just coughing so much that I don't feel like eating at all. I'm not even remotely hungry. Should I force myself to eat something so I don't crash tomorrow, or will I be okay? I mean crash from being sick in addition to not having much nutrients.

Gandhi ate no food for 21 days for a cause. He did it multiple times.

I am sure you won't die. Drink water.

Tues log:

I am litterally not hungry at all. I was second guessing what I ate today because of how little, but that really is all of it. With my workout included, I'm right at about 2000cals deficient for the day.

I'm just coming off pneumonia myself, and say keep eating and drinking water. Plus extra sleep, if at all possible.

Also a cough suppressant like Delsym. At a point coughing is just spreading stuff around in there.

Sub 1k days are absolutely fine for you, especially considering where you're at.

Just don't be stupid and follow it up with a 2k+ day because you "feel hungry".

I just watched "Food Choices" on Netflix; it's a documentary advocating for a plant based diet. It was pretty interesting; now I'm wanting to go check out the vegan/vegetarian thread.

I'm sure you and amazin will get along fabulously.

Importantly GJ reaching your daily goal...800 cals in cheez and vigetaboi oil seems like a lot to me. Maybe get some more veggies in there.

You mean there aren't vegetables in vegetable oil?
01-26-2017 , 01:35 AM
Vegan doesnt involve cheese fyi
01-26-2017 , 04:49 AM
A vegan super bacon cheeseburger would have no cheese, no bacon, no burger and no buns
01-26-2017 , 09:30 AM
I'd be willing to try a veggie burger, but I couldn't give up the cheese and bacon. I'm just thinking of predominantly eating fruits and vegetables with small portions of meat...well except when I make a juicy steak.

Are you really convinced that you can comply with any type of plan for eating?

Supposedly there are veggie burgers that taste pretty close to a real hamburger. There is also vegan cheese. Compare with vegetable oil margarine (which is vegan) vs butter.

I'm sure there are vegan bacon substitutes as well, but I can't imagine they taste very good.

Had a gf who was a vegetarian and I always found a nice big portabello mushroom cooked up as a 10x better substitute without the weird immitation-remorse.

That's just a healthier version of the standard American diet, similar to what many here have been trying to get you to eat.

There are no veggie burgers that taste pretty close to a real hamburger, luckily.

LoL,

Have you tried the new beyond burger and impossible burger? Not sure if the latter is available at retail yet, but I've seen it at a couple of SF restaurants now.

I don't get to workout tonight because I was sick yesterday and my lazy ass partner dropped the ball and didn't take care of something for my plant and didn't even bother to tell me about it. Now I'm having to go back into work and take care of it, and I'm going to be here all night. He was just out all last week and I covered for him and did all of his work for him. I'm so pissed off right now.
