I ate very little of the chicken and waffles because I was full from the cheese plate. I ate a lil more of them for breakfast on Sunday.

You're just encouraging yourself to eat more if you can't log honestly. Seeing the amount of breading and oil on that fried chicken, 278 calories is basically a drumstick and a bite of the waffle (dry waffle, which yours obviously wasn't). You also don't dispute that steak was almost certainly over 6oz. To give you an idea, 6 oz steaks are what they serve as "pettite" steak at diners for breakfast steak and eggs. You should also log some of the oil you used to make the steaks.

I strongly suspect you're underweighing a lot of meals on your log. The portions you're logging are so small (2oz chicken? that's a large tenderloin) that they'd make someone less than half your weight unbearably hungry.

It's easy to trick yourself into thinking you'e eating less than you are. But if you do that, your diets will not show results and you'll just keep getting frustrated. Log honestly and make appropriate sacrifices (eat less or exercise more) so you can see the results you need to stay motivated.

The sweet potato was great!

I went to The Flaming Cheese in Dallas for an early dinner. The food is always just meh, but the name gets me Everytime. They light a plate of cheese on fire at your table and you get that almost burnt cheese flavor...yum.

Anyway, since I've done so horribly at estimating meat weight can y'all give me a good estimate for this lamb?

I thought a little less than half a pound too. 400-500 depending on how lean it was. Add another 50 or 100 if you tasted some sugary/buttery marinade.

How important was that bread though? Nutritionally unnecessary and that stuff really adds up over the year, like 40 extra pounds of fat over the year adds up.

A few questions/comments:

So you made steaks for dinner. Then went to check out a new restaurant for apps? How'd that come about?

Those look like ribeyes to me, not t-bones. And how did you come up with the weight you logged for the steak?

How did you cook the steaks? Grill them then sear in pan?

Just another situation where someone dieting could enjoy a decadent meal while making more sensible choices. Sausage is the most calorie dense form of meat there is. Pulled pork would also have been delicious, with fewer calories. And you'd get a gold star for ordering the chicken thigh quarter, which would be even fewer and still taste really ****ing good. Memphis-style BBQ is more about the sauces, dry rubs, and cooking process than the cut of meat anyhow.
