The cure for this is not rest but more exercise.

It can't be said enough: Walk. Every. Day.

It takes ~ 20 minutes to walk a mile. Even at your current weight you can do that. Even in Texas heat (or there's always Walmart). After a week or two, you'll start wanting to go further. Get up to 3 miles a day and it makes a sizeable difference. Not a 'now I can eat 3000 calories' difference, but you'll feel so much better.

Great progress, OP!

In a thread full of good advice, Booker's is particularly good. Although all the stuff about weighing and logging everything you eat will make a bigger contribution to your weight loss and is the main thing you should follow should you resolve to only follow one thing, I am a firm believer that being more active is good and engages you in a positive feedback loop of good behavior (I walked a mile and a half today, and because I expended the mental energy to be active, I'm going to continue with that and make a healthier dinner and go to bed early -> feel better the next morning, rinse and repeat).

i walk around 5 miles a day but that doesnt include the cardio i do as well, you need at least an hour of exercise daily.

MLY,

Looking good, but trusting the internet with that blanket statement at the end is ill-advised at best.

Good work MLYLT! Keep it up!

That last shot, while clearly the best, still has a little bunny-boiler je ne sais quoi thing going on with those eyes.

dropping salt? You're an idiot. There are two things every person who is struggling with weight loss needs to learn to drown their ****ing food in: 1 salt 2 vinegar, which includes hot sauce and mustard.

they dont have any calories.

op, good work so far, I've found switching to whole grain carbs keeps me full longer, and I'm a lot less likely to eat a pound and a half of whole wheat pasta in one sitting than I am the white stuff, but whatever works for you. but dont go trying to cut ****ing salt thinking you are anywhere near ready for that kind of stuff

Tell that to the obese Mexicans who take in a 32oz jar of Tapatio every week.

These were my meals yesterday. I was doing so well and then caved on my drive and stopped at McDonald's.

It's not the Tapatio, it's the thousands of calories of chips/tortillas that the Tapatio is on.

Maybe you should make a journal. Some very specific things had to go through your head to cause you take all the steps necessary to purchase and consume food from McDonald's. What were they? Did you rationalize i.e. "I have no thawed meat at home", "I'm too tired to cook", etc? It might be a good idea to record your thoughts and emotions regarding food as they occur so you can look back later with a clear head.

Again, plan your meals at the start of the day. Improvisation is the enemy of diet adherence. Your food routine should be a well-oiled groove that actually feels uncomfortable to fall out of. That's basically what a habit is, whether good or bad; something you do that it feels awkward not to do.

The last entry seems suspect. You could cram (or heap) 650 calories of cooked angel hair pasta alone in 2 cups. You really need to get a food scale sometime by 2017.

Mlylt,

How do you measure things like tablespoons and cups?
08-18-2016 , 12:18 PM
With measuring spoons and measuring cups....how else?
