I never eat fast food for breakfast. The thought of it repulses me, and it so much easier to have a protein shake/bar or hell, even something like a granola bar or banana is such an easier and less time consuming alternative.

It does make sense.
He was saying he almost felt bad for closing your OOT thread and releasing you from containment, which in turn turned this thread into a typical MLY trainwreck that the mods of H+F now have to deal with.

Oyah. Lustig is an expert on sugar. And the variety of doctors with Nobel prizes aren't total idiots on homeopathy. Appeal to authority. BTFO.
Dude, relax. These are not my assertions. I posted nearly word-for-word what a scientist in the field of toxicology, and an expert in all things mercury, had stated based on both the FDA and EPA's mercury charts for a 155 pound person, and you say none of it's true.

That's fine, but just realize that you are not disagreeing with me and so if you think his math is incorrect and/or he's deliberately misrepresenting numbers and thus his chart is bull****, then email him, but I'm not going to check his math nor reconcile his figures with the FDA's. It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care.

You ate fast food for every meal.

Just to be clear, only eating above kcal goal is "cheating", the foods themselves don't matter?

This is just poor time management or a ridiculous excuse for you to consume fast food.

Plenty of people fast for long periods of time. You will not be "starving". Hunger pangs subside, you will not die, it's not a big deal at all. Honestly, you'd probably do fairly well on an IF style plan, but you can discuss that with loco if you're interested.

And this, obv. Prep the night before if you can't get up 15 minutes earlier to prep in the morning.

Definitely think IF is a good idea if you can't manage to eat healthier. If you are just worried about calories, it would allow you to continue to eat some of the trash you like if you skip breakfast.

Agree 1000%
03-21-2017 , 10:05 AM
I doubt someone with her hunger issues could manage a daily 16 hour fast.
03-21-2017 , 10:07 AM
Mly, you should buy a 30ct case of granola bars and keep a couple in your purse. Eat 2 apples, eat yogurt, there's no reason to begin the day eating crap
03-21-2017 , 10:25 AM
I got up early and made eggs. I had eggs, strawberries, and a banana.
03-21-2017 , 10:26 AM
I don't think I could ever skip breakfast. I can skip dinner no problem, but I need a lot of food in the mornings.

You don't "need" a lot of food in the mornings any more than you ever "need" a cigarette. It's all habit and addiction, which you can fix if you actually want to.

This.

As far as I know, no one has died of starvation from skipping breakfast. It's just silly to say you "need" food in the morning when what you're really saying is you just don't want to so that. But sure, dismiss something that you may find beneficial without even considering it.

That being said, you could certainly run an IF style protocol by stopping consumption earlier in the day, as opposed to starting later like most people choose.
03-21-2017 , 12:03 PM
I would suggest it's better for MLYLT to find fast breakfasts that fit with her goals, than to pressure her into skipping breakfast.
03-21-2017 , 02:03 PM
You are absolutely right cit, if her sole goal is weight loss then she can eat all the ****ty food she wants. She's already an example of this.

I think the general assumption is that when someone is trying to make a lifestyle change like dropping 100lbs+, they also want to get healthier and develop useful long term habits.

But you know what happens when we assume...
03-21-2017 , 02:21 PM
Cit,
What's wrong with my personality that makes people not like me?
03-21-2017 , 03:07 PM
You are just asking for it with that question and will take great offense when paragraphs are written and ask why everyone is so mean to you.

MLYLT,

Why do you keep asking this question when you know what the answers are going to be, and you know you're not going to like those answers?
03-21-2017 , 05:01 PM
I don't know what the answers are going to be. None of you here have ever met me other than loco. How could any of you possibly have the slightest clue to what my personality is like?
I don't think people should be posting that I'm unlikable because of my obvious personality flaws when they have no clue who I am.
