Heard of it, but I'd need to be legit paid to try one. Try one and give a TR, imo.

Your sickness rate seems quite high for someone of your age. Honestly I think you need to eat better rather than just eating less.

I have been sick more this year than ever. It might be a combination of my daughter starting school and being exposed to more stuff and the carpet in my rent house.
I had a suitcase on the floor in my closet, I got it out and it had grown black/grey fuzzy mold all over it.

I feel like I've been getting sick more since I've been cutting, but it could be a coincidence. Maybe eating a calorie deficit weakens the immune system?

Umm, I hope you got that taken care of (and I don't just mean cleaning off the suitcase) or your daughter picking up something from school should be the least of your worries.

I'm going to call the owners tonight and have then test the house for mold.

I strongly agree with this.

i'm being completely serious here. i've never had carrots out of a can. not being a snob as i've had plenty of canned veggies in my day. are they like steamed and soft or pickled like beets or what?

also for 800 cals why not get a real SBCB vs a McD burger? gotta be a pretty drastic drop in satisfaction
01-28-2017 , 04:49 PM
They are really soft, you can mush them up into a paste. They are not pickled.

What did you do with the 3 tsp of sugar in that breakfast?
01-29-2017 , 12:44 PM
On the bread dog, pretty common. Although shes missing cinnamon like a newb
01-29-2017 , 12:49 PM
Yeah, I forgot the cinnamon. It added 12cals to the total.
01-29-2017 , 12:56 PM
That breakfast is pure unadulterated diabetes.

My mom (who is obese) eats cinnamon/sugar toast all the time and it makes me cringe.

So this past week wasn't good at work. Someone complained to my boss about me being on my phone too much and it pissed my boss off. I was on my phone all the time and shouldn't have been, but I was still completing all of my work. My boss had a talk with me and all of a sudden has a bunch of other complaints. She got onto me for not knowing everyone's names (about 200ppl), and I'm just absolutely horrible with names and can't remember someone's name until we have had a few conversations. She also complained that I send too many emails instead of going and "building relationships" and talking with people face to face. At the end of the conversation she said, "maybe you just aren't a good fit". It's been bothering me all weekend. The way I think is if someone is getting their work done, who cares if they are on their phone or doing whatever else and I like to send emails to have a record of conversations.
These are all simple things to fix it just bothers me that she said that maybe I wasn't a good fit when I thought everything was fine and I like all the people. I just don't like going around and chit chatting with people about pointless crap and it seems like that is what she wants me to do :/
It's work, you are there to do work not be best buddies with everyone.
01-29-2017 , 01:15 PM
Your daughter is relying on you to fulfill what your boss wants of you, whatever you think in your head is okay to do is obviously unacceptable to the person making sure you keep getting checks.
01-29-2017 , 01:46 PM
Hard to imagine that they would be unhappy with someone who admittedly works around a half a day per week.
01-29-2017 , 02:24 PM
M,

Your boss doesn't want you to make more pointless chit-chat. Your boss wants you to be more of a team player.

Well during our conversation, she was implying that I should have been going around and talking to people instead of the time I spent on my phone. If I needed to talk with someone about work, I was already doing it, this would mean just talking to people when I was finished with my work. And, I am a team player. My partner had to be off work for a week because his wife had a stroke and I did all of his work and ensured he would have nothing to worry about when he got back to work; he was really happy when he got back to work and offered to take me to lunch.

Being a team player means being part of the team. This includes knowing the people you work with by talking to them.
01-29-2017 , 03:29 PM
What was your reply to your boss?
01-29-2017 , 03:34 PM
MLYLT,

The "I finished my work so I can do what I want" attitude is one that instantly marks you as, at best, a low level cube drone. Realizing that having both your boss and team members have a positive perception of you is part of your job, and that the departments with whom you are working are, quite literally, your customers and the reason for your employment are a few things you'd do well to integrate into your thinking re: this job. And any future ones.

I said, "yeah, I was on my phone a lot during downtime, I'll do better about that. I really have a hard time learning people's names; this is the cheat sheet I've made."

All of the equipment is numbered, I know all of the machines, but can't remember the people's names working each machine so I made this sticky note grid with the machine numbers and put the people's names under each machine. So, if I need to go talk to them I look at my sticky notes to see their name.
