I mean they are just made up numbers, right.

Point is, it's not happening.

Would it drive you more in tilt if I said her chances of quitting cold turkey are 1 out of 100. But if she ate 10000 calories a day for the next three days, it would now be 3 out of 100. That's 300%!!

Point is not happening, why these people take momentum away from my bowling ball. My 230lb bowling ball is heading straight down the middle on her way to knock out some fatty pins and some idiots diverged it into another lane for a longshot that I have seen no evidence for.

Idiots. And obviously if this works and she quits nicotine forever, I will eat my words. And be happy to do it. She can pick any restaurant in Dallas and eat 10000 calories and I will pay. Seeing someone eat that much will drive me on full blown monkey tilt.

But come on son, this a horrible idea. But I am around to say it and try to get her back on the horse.

Cheese and bacon obv

Do snowcones even have natural flavors? I thought it was all sugar and artificial coloring.

So red and yellow.

Gross, the only reason I don't go on full blown monkey tilt is because well at least ice has no calories.

Point is, you yourself are saying she's increasing her chances by a very significant amount, which does not seem to be your intention

Just trying to show the flaws of your argument, you can't criticize her decisions while also projecting a significant increase in effectiveness.
03-11-2017 , 08:25 PM
Well since you are confused, let me be clear to everybody.

It's fake as fack. There is no evidence for it. And even if there was an increase in probability of quitting, it would not be enough to turn a super long shot into something probable. If that was the case, McDonald's will advertise that they can make you quit smoking on burgers and mcflurries. Lol.

Hope that was clear.

Dill pickle and lemon

I mean its maybe something like:

cold turkey: 1%
cold turkey while stuffing face with snow cones: 1.2% perhaps.
patches etc: 5%
proper use of a ecig: 80+%

but of course snow cones ftw.
03-11-2017 , 08:57 PM
Loco,

You appear unaware that she is quitting using the magic quitting book.

Nah, I meant the redic protein intake being a key component to solving obesity. I thought obesity was already solved by the laws of thermodynamics, and I don't think excessive protein intake is going to solve the psychological reasons for why obese people habitually overindulge.

Lol 80+%. The 5% stat for cold turkey is long-term success. Ecigs haven't even been around long enough for anything meaningful, and what's the success rate for getting off ecigs?

You missed his point. Satiety is a huge factor in overconsumption and a key factor in overcoming obesity. You are right to point out that calories in/calories out is the literal cause of weight gain and obesity, but you are more than a little wrong by either missing or ignoring loco's point.

asking loco about bf% is H&F's version of #tipping

simply don't do it

I've got no experience with quitting smoking, but I also don't agree with the idea of using one vice to treat another. It would be one thing if she were simply relaxing her dietary restrictions to focus on quitting smoking, but that isn't what this is.

Good to hear, and I guess if you're not drinking every day, fair enough on the vape

No, I understood his point just fine; I just don't think eating at least 200g of protein daily will curb appetite in a morbidly obese person to the point of eating normal portions. I do think it's a factor, I just don't think it's as huge as you guys state it is. I'm not married to that supposition, though, so if you guys want to point out legit studies that demonstrably prove it's true, then I'm interested in reading them.
