Boom. Perfection again. On her way to way 135 and ripped!!

There are a lot of options to put there instead of the salad. Chili. Veggies. Beef jerky. Tasty protein bar. Etc etc.

Lol, thanks!
I've been meaning to pick up some ham to have with breakfast.

Loco,

What kind of cave do YOU live in where potatoes aren't delicious?
10-18-2016 , 05:33 PM
I haven't lost much weight this month, but I've lost another inch from my waist!!!!

That makes a total of 4.5" lost since May 29th.

Also just had biometric testing done at work.
My HDL is 30, and normal is 60+.
I've got to find some sources of healthy cholesterol....maybe some fish oil.

Dont bother, dude eats like a baby bird and is afraid of carbs

I do like sweet potatoes.

And I can imagine a scenario where I walk by some red petite potatoes and I imagine roasting them in the oven with rosemary and olive oil and adding a bit of salt n pepper and thus making them edible.

But besides that, no. Potatoes are not tasty. They go with rice and bread. Untasty poor people food. Got to dress them all fancy to look good (the starches not the people).

Loco,

To be fair, I believe you have said in the past that you don't eat for pleasure, so there's that.

But on the other hand, you do appreciate some delicious things like bread pudding.

Quite a paradox.

It's sad that you haven't experienced amazing bread. Let me know if you're ever in the SF Bay Area and I'll expose you to bread that will change your opinion!

Dinner tonight:
Salmon, shrimp, scallops.
My first time trying scallops, and they were just kinda meh
10-18-2016 , 08:31 PM
Agreed, scallops are like shellfish tofu to me.

I'm prbly just a philistine tho.

Went to the gym today, but is wasn't a successful workout.
I did the elliptical for five minutes and my legs were on fire, so I had to stop. I felt so weak when I got off, and kept getting dizzy/lightheaded while lifting weights.

Ive forgotten the names and don't feel like looking em up, but I did the following lifts.

Legs: squat, grab bar w/weights and stand.
5x50lbsx3

Bent over, knees bent with bar w weights pulling up.
10x20lbsx3

Barbells each side lifting overhead and bringing together.
10x10lbsx3

Barbells with arms by side and then lifted horizontal/up from sides.
10x10lbsx1
10x5lbsx2

Leg press:
10x120lbsx3

You cooked the scallops wrong, you don't boil a piece of rib eye and decide rib eye isn't GOAT.

You may have overcooked the salmon too.

But GJ on getting some veggies!!

This is how well cooked scallop looks

^ This.

M,

Why did you log fried scallops?

Wed planned log:

WED planned looks really good.

TUES actually looks fine also but you overestimated some stuff. No big deal, better to overestimate than underestimate.
10-19-2016 , 03:15 PM
What is the point of a planned log? Seems kind of silly, but on the other hand very MLYy.
10-19-2016 , 03:36 PM
Planned logs are the smartest thing MLY has done yet.

In general you're of course right. However, she's in the process of trying to figure out her baselines, so overestimating could easily lead to her thinking she has more calories to work with than she really does. And the next step for her from there is obviously naked French fries and ketchup party.

I think it's great for her, for the same reason it was great for ytf.

Without a plan they can look at, as soon as they drive by a McDonalds or gas station it's all over for them, gorging on cheeseburgers, fries, and gas station muffins and cookies.

The only options were fried or raw and there was a big differential in the calories. I cooked them in a frying pan, so...

M,

This is the sort of reason why people question your logging.

And you should by now intuitively know that breaded, fried stuff is very different in calories than sautéed stuff.

Log raw scallops plus a tablespoon of olive oil or whatever you used. This is not rocket science.

This specific entry is not really a big deal. And as loco said, overestimating is better than underestimating. But in general, the more accurate you are with logging, the better this program will work for you.

Sauce looks terrible on the salmon, but glad you finally had something besides a frozen dinner.

Surprised to hear elliptical was painful. Should be similar to all the walking

Actual Wed log:

I was full after the chicken parmesan, and skipped the salad.
