Thanks guys. I'll order these.

And thanks for all the poker advice everyone. I'm taking mental notes.

M,

Ordering the books is a waste of time, save your money.

I think so too. She plays $40 satellites. What is the end goal? Be plus EV and make $2 an hour? Lol. Plus she don't even read.

Plenty of free info online for a student. If that goes well then maybe pursue this more seriously. Knowing the area, working on her cash game is a much better idea.

But exercising and finding another hobby, even better. This weekend was a dumpster grease fire even though plenty of healthy options at Choctaw.

I don't play tournaments but, Harrington on Cash is also good.

He even gives a specific example of how trying to rely on reads can get you stacked.

I have read all that stuff. I can boil down your 66 hand into even fewer words than greg :

When you have a small/medium pocket pair and you face multiple opponents on a board with two face cards, fold.

That's how we scared old nits survive. **** reads. You don't need to be a ranging wizard to know you're beaten here.

Edit: also **** "they put me on" language. Until you move into higher stakes anyway.

One of the dangers of 2p2 is that you can read a lot of stuff that only applies above your own level.

Friday night I was playing 1/2 with a scared money short stack. I knew I shouldn't have been there. I wanted to play anyway.

After about an hour and a half, I doubled up with a set of 4s.

As I was stacking, I said to the guy to my left, "he's not watching me at all."

Guy chuckled and said, "I dumped my **** the second I saw you come in."

That's a tight image. It can be used to run bluffs but you have to pick good spots. Which the books can help you with.

She wasn't under the impression that she had the best hand. The stupid man was supposed to fold.

How come you aren’t doing physical therapy for your shoulder/back?

LKJ,

See my edit

"they put me on" is a good way to get killed at lower levels.

Sup Gizmo.

M,

Have you thought about how you've developed this problem? We've discussed these things before but things don't magically happen to people, and epidural shots can alleviate the symptoms but don't solve the reasons why the problem developed. Poor weight lifting form and poor posture are major reasons for your injury. Which shoulder? Do you sleep on your side? Do you have your arm up while driving for long periods of time? Are you practicing good posture when you're sitting for long periods of time? Do you often hunch over when sitting and/or lean to one side? Do you walk enough/exercise? There are the sort of questions you should be asking yourself.

I know how I hurt it last year. The squat bar was too high and it hit my neck wrong. It's been hunting ever since.

Im going to lift today and see how it feels. My shoulder still hurts but not as bad as this weekend.

Like Loco said, I do have a bit of butt wink when squating 185lbs. I'm going to drop down in weight and work on form for a couple of weeks.

What does your doctor say regarding whether or not you should be lifting or what lifts you should avoid?
01-09-2018 , 04:45 PM
They said it was fine.

I dreamed I had really small boobs last night and was confused about wearing a bra lol....it's still in the back of my mind today.

My blood have gotten a lot smaller but gaining muscle is really lifting them, I'm so exited for the final results and hopefully no boob lift surgery.

Small blood sucks

The man has already taken over and has the kids running horses. Mother****er.
01-09-2018 , 08:46 PM
M,

Are the kids actually running the horses correctly?
01-09-2018 , 09:57 PM
Hell no. Then he said, "I want to assess each of y'all" and had all 11 of them just stand in line and dribble to him one at a time and did the same for shooting.

Dude, they all suck, skills assessed.

I went and showed them correct shooting form while they were waiting in line and worked with each of them. They picked it up suprisingly fast. Then they were passing and I went to each of them to showed them how and showed each of them the 3-point stance.

The other woman is awesome and super sweet. I told her I would just take a back seat and help out where needed. I pitched the idea of teaching them to run to a certain spot and the wrist band idea that Monte's league uses.

She might mean triple threat position.
01-09-2018 , 10:23 PM
Tripple threat position-shoot, pass, dribble.
You get your pivot foot planted, and protect the ball.

They aren't going to use it yet and won't be shooting with correct form or anything during the games; I just want to show them the basics and familiarize them....like Monte said, just planting seeds.

Teach them how to put their opponents on J10 offsuit
