Weekend was not good for the Diet. I know if I could put solid weekends together the 2lbs a week would be so easy and 3-3.5 lb weeks would be a reality

Though the Cardio was great

Two big walks Saturday and Sunday. Sunday was 8.5 km

Back at it Monday and things get busy as starting two home builds

Lozen,

Oh No I logged the damage. I am committed to that

I think my first big step on the weekend is to get Sundays clean.

Lozen,

If you're serious about actually losing some weight this time, some things you should quit, at least for a while:

Orange juice
Cream
Cookies
Hash browns
Cinnamon rolls

Consider not drinking for a few weeks to help kick start your progress.

Consider quitting potatoes and bread for a while for the same reason.

It's going to be hard for you to stick to your goals with so many of your calories coming from stuff like that.

The orange juice is pretty bad.

Orange Juice and Cream just not a reality. Though OJ has to be limited to the AM only. Why is cream so bad?

Also why no carbs I am assuming from Potatoes and breads?

Simple carbs (e.g. starches, sugars, processed wheat) are pretty much the least satiating thing per calorie.

I find potatoes pretty satiating for the calorie cost. I don't see a good reason to eliminate them. Maybe switch to sweet potatoes for nomzies.

Lozen,

Cream is a lot of calories for little volume.

Lozen,

Oops hit send too soon.

Bread and potatoes for lots of people aren't nearly as filling/satisfying per calorie as other things, and it's easy to eat a ton of them. Replacing those calories with meats and vegetables will make it easier for most people to stay within their calorie goals.

Why aren't you willing to quit orange juice?

If you've made an educated decision that you can hit your macro goals and keep oj/cream in your diet that's one thing.

But if you just can't stop consuming oj/cream for emotional/psychological reasons I really doubt you'll be successful cutting weight long term.

Potatoes and/or rice is a must for some. Meat and veggies leaves you with very little carbs.

Taters rule.

A little cream in the coffee ain't no thing either. As long as you aren't going overboard with it.

Agree to disagree with ElD about potatoes. It is a lot easier to blast through 100g bread at 266 cal than 100g potato at 77 cal, potatoes got a lot of hate from atkins and south beach but I thought that was over.

Lozen, the OJ and cream psychological block is kind of weird. Why so much resistance?

Crash,

I'm pretty pro-potato myself, actually.

But potatoes are one thing fatties tend to go way overboard with, hence my suggestion to lozen.

I def agree that he can find a place for potatoes in his weight loss diet, though that'll be easier if they're not hash browns and loaded baked potatoes.

Right, baked potatoes with hot sauce and salt is the nuts for getting some carbs when losing weight. I should have clarified - baked potato or boiled potato with little to no butter or other oil, no sourcream, no bacon, no cheese, no catsup, etc. with chips, fries, and hash browns being out altogether.

Generally I have a small baked potato. I wash it cut it up into cubes and sprinle with a vegetable seasoning and 1 tsp olive oil. I wrap it up in Foil and bake 45 minutes. Nothing else added.

Agreed the hashbrowns on Sunday are not great

It really doesn't seem like you're actually serious about losing weight.

Not a fair comment. One bad week. Still on my 2 lbs goal. Hopefully in 12 weeks I can say I am still on my goal. I know its difficult for me. Though I can understand why a comment like that is made

So I guess it is a fair comment

Im still here my fitness has been good but Diet is still lacking. Your right still not 100% committed to this but close. Summer has arrived and Mountain Biking and Big Hikes with the pooches. I feel guilty posting bad food days.

Dealing with something I have struggled with for 15 years and found some answers this weekend.
