So I decided to start a new thread. Yes I have had an ongoing thread with Suzzer and one that started in 2008 that lasted a short term. I decided to start my own new thread. I know there are some very helpful posters in the health threads. Inspired by YTF anyone can do it
It kind of sunk in for me when I had a vacation to Vegas and last summer’s clothes did not fit. I was at low last September of 231 and slowly packed it back on over the Canadian Winter. Excuses I have none as I have a concept II rower, spin bike, and Stairclimber in my home. I have two dogs I walk every day also. Seeing yourself in the mirror and being embarrassed to take off your shirt at the pool sinks in. I looked at myself and said you look old and out of shape. Being Single I feel getting into shape can lead to finding the right person also.
So being 48 and over weight I need to get this done by the age of 50, 49 be great and then maintain my weight. When I was younger in my twenties winter was easy and summer was when I slacked off even though I played competitive soccer. Goalies never have to be in top shape. Now I find winter the hardest and Summer easy. Though I am quick to fall off track

Most of the food measurements are by oz or cup so just using that. Also when I but my chicken breasts or Rib Eyes I have him individually package and request 6-8 oz serving sizes. I buy all my meat from a butcher. The Chicken is free Range from the Hutterites and the beef and Bison are grain fed not corn. I tried cutting and pasting my Sparkpeople log but that didn't work well

PP is Protein Powder and currently on no Prescription Pills

I am sore this morning

Just be careful, the "calories burned" total quoted from machines can over-report.

I realize that but good guidance if your doing the same machine on increasing the intensity. I just use it as a guide

This. Diet is like 90% of the game. Get a scale, way more accurate than measuring cups and spoons and relying on the butcher. I got a good one on amazon a while back for $20 that weighed to the gram. It also had a guide for quick reference that showed how many calories per gram were in all kinds of food. Good to know things like bananas are three times as caloricly dense as strawberries.

Plus there is the Leigh peele video that you should watch here:
http://youtu.be/JVjWPclrWVY

If you want to talk about the bowel issues I'm down. My log has a bunch of that at the beginning.

Subscribing. Get to work, luck has nothing to do with it.

lozen,

I've helped a number of people with this. Especially in the early stages I've found it most successful to have people focus 100% on just tracking diet and hitting those goals, and treat exercise as a bonus with the main goal of just getting out there and doing some.

Still struggling with the print screen than host.

Yes a scale is on my list to find or buy. Yesterday bought a steamer for vegetables. I watched the video and over scooping is not me.

I think the Bowel issues will rectify themselves as I eat better. I know they did last time. Its frustrating as no way I could ever do a morning run.

Working on posting the detailed log

May have figured it out

What's the deal with the regular oatmeal and oatmeal weight loss? Are they separate foods, or is it a duplicate entry?

The Orville Redenbachers thing looks like the only terrible leak - if you could make that a high protein snack instead then the numbers would be even better. Promising start though.

Generic tuna might be a leak too in the mercury toxicity sense.

Popcorn is a leak, but if you must then air popped unbuttered popcorn is 110 cal/33g which is a nice snack size. But some smoked salmon would be better.

Oatmeal was on sale at Safeway at $2.00 so I grabbed all the regulars and weight loss ones

I had the popcorn last night thinking healthy snack than when I went to enter it I was like oh 440 calories not good

I discovered airpopped popcorn is fairly elite in terms of volume/calories. 6 cups of popped popcorn is an Fing ton if you just want something to munch on for a prolonged time.

I'm going to start doing this sometimes if I ever remember. Sure goes a lot further than splurging on candy or baked goods (depending on what I'm in the mood for ldo).

OJ is a leak. Drinking calories when you are trying to lose weight is generally bad.

80 cal for 1.5 cups spinach is ?? Cups are a pretty bad way to measure anyway as noted above. To get to 80 cal you need half a pound or more.
Lozen's 2020 Reboot Quote

yeah an entire bag of prepared baby spinach is only like 40 cals. leafy veggies it's pretty much impossible to eat too much of.

Trust me its the one leak I have trouble kicking. Already gave up the 16 oz I have when I read at bedtime

Ok ill double check the spinach. Its frozen and I just make a serving and figure cant go wrong having to many green veggies

You used to drink 16oz of OJ while reading at bedtime? That seems....odd. Wouldn't a hot/warm beverage make more sense. Or like...water. Who wants to brush their teeth at any point near drinking OJ?
