Re: Losing this gut/getting tone with ExpectedV

Yeah taste is not important. The body is a high maintenance machine and it must be oiled and fueled appropriately. But it doesn't have to taste good.

This one of the reasons fatties exist. Everything must take good. We have a spectrum of people in this forum all the way from EV to YTF. And it's no surprise the most ripped can live off tuna, chicken and rice. And the one with the worst food problems, YTF, needs everything to taste like fat, sugar, and salt bombs.

Point here is, look at food more like gasoline and I think you will do better. It's nonsense that you will be happier eating junk. Of course there's always room for a solid draft beer or a good steak and dessert. But please let's keep the gas station muffins and donuts to zero.

So drink your whey with water, the cheaper the better. If it's too light, add another scoop. Honestly I could drink piss if it had protein. Who cares, the taste lasts but a second.

I think we'd all love to be drinking piss so I'm not sure what your point is?

That's all good man but if OP really wants any chance at ever coming close to a Golden Loco or Golden Cha, he needs to be in that gasoline frame of mind. GOLD STANDARD 100% NATURAL WHEY PROTEIN ain't some run-of-the-mill marketing driven sham protein company, they are different, saintly in their pureness. Would you believe that they are actually a protein supplement?!?!? I am blown away, truly. Tremendous achievement!

Hey, Euro has this affect on posters. Just hit up the Greenhouse, have a delicious Syntha shake and you'll feel better.

Fwiw I have never tried syntha b/c I'm afraid it will taste so much better than ON that I will have to switch and it will have a ripple effect on everything else. Or I will just get fatter. Probably that.

I've had water with protein shakes so much that when I mix milk with it, it tastes like cream. Too thick, no thx. I usually do 300ml water with 1.5 scoops of whey. That's the perfect combo, hands down. It's EV approved. Who the fack cares about taste anyway, it's a supplement for more protein. Not like you need to youtube videos for "gourmet protein shakes" in order to drink it. I go with the cheap stuff. Then again, I save up my calories for orange chicken so my opinion doesn't matter much. Carry on.

Re: Losing this gut/getting tone with ExpectedV

I woke up with soreness in my pecs/armpit area, quads, and even my lower back for some reason, so I won't be going in today. Rest up and I'll go in on Sunday.

I've been looking at other gyms with the help of udbrky. There's a gym called Quads Gym on the street I live on, and I've heard nothing but good stuff about them. It seems like one of those gyms that is strictly for hardcore bodybuilders, but I've read reviews on Yelp and see nothing but positives. Definitely checking this place out soon.

Um, definitely go to quads. That's where Ed Coan, the greatest powerlifter ever, used to train. They have awesome equipment as well

Re: Losing this gut/getting tone with ExpectedV

Confirmed Quads is elite. Michael Jordan sometimes trained there.

FYI though, the one in Calumet City is not owned by the people at the one by you. They closed last month because they couldn't pay their bills.

Everybody from there now lifts at my gym.

Re: Losing this gut/getting tone with ExpectedV

Just got back, got in a good 45 minutes. Did seated military press, leg press, squat, and a little bit of bench. I'm having a hard time getting to 10x reps on most lifts. I usually stop at 8. Should I lower weight? If I do, it feels a bit too easy. I also used the chip/dip assist machine. I can only chin/dip 1/2 my body weight. Long ways to go...

Also is 45 minute workout good enough? I feel I should be putting at least over an hour? I did work up a sweat, but not to the point I needed a towel. Am I not pushing myself?

Got 2 form vids for you guys:

Will keep the avocado. Guess I have to drop something else.

I'm taking ON Double Rich Chocolate and it tastes pretty good. ON Cookies and Cream is GOAT. I'll have to try Gaspari though.

try to get at least 1/2 of your fat intake from unsaturated fat.
also try to get in as much omega 3 fatty acids as possible, most people take in too little and have an unfavorable omega 6 to omega 3 ratio of higher than 5:1.

how? try to eat (fatty) fish at least 1-2 a week and add some flaxseeds/flaxseed-oil to our food, for example mix in flaxseeds in your cereal, into bread(if you ever bake one yourself) or just sprinkle a teaspoon of flaxseed-oil over vegetables/salads etc etc, you don't need to use much as about half of fat in flaxseed-oil is omega-3, also contains the vital but fairly rare alpha-linolenic acid.
