Macros for today:

3 egg omelette:........................................21f/1.2c/18p
1 banana:........................................... .....0.4f/27c/1.3p
1 apple:............................................ .......0f/34c/1p
1 nature valley:.........................................4f/25c/3p

2 tuna sandwiches:
4 slices oat nut whole grain bread:................10f/88c/16p
2 servings tuna:.........................................0f/0c/26p
chopped onions:
1/2 avocado:.......................................... ...21f/12c/3p

16oz chicken breast w/garlic+seasoning:.........4f/0c/84p
steamed broccoli:
protein shake:............................................1.5f/3c/24p

61.9f/192.2c/176.3p
Goal: 40f/208c/190p

I'll drop the avocado, and have 2 servings of the shake, or I'll just add another 4oz of chicken breast. Numbers will look very similar after that.

eta: actually have had worse tasting shakes but ON is the worst because of how good of a rating it generally pulls
ON Gold tastes fine; quite good in fact.

it's rated highly because it's actually a protein supplement, not a gimmick powder bloated with fat and carbs (syntha-6).

There's some fat in the tuna, 1 g or so.

Yeah I think average is 1g but the ones I use is 0.5g. Not sure what exact brand Andrew has. Not a huge deal either way though.

Re: Losing this gut/getting tone with ExpectedV

your fat goal is unnecessary low especially if it means that you take in an extremely low amount of unsaturated fat.
dropping the avocado which is mostly monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat(both good) makes zero sense as it's the last thing I would drop out from the list you posted.

It is on the "low side" but not unhealthy. Remember, we aren't working with many calories. The protein is high to reinforce more balanced meals and more protein is beneficial when cutting. If I feel that defeats the purpose then I'll implement more fats which seems to be the case.

Re: Losing this gut/getting tone with ExpectedV

if fat intake is so low he should concentrate on getting most of it from unsaturated fat though.
allowing slightly more fat would make things easier I reckon

I went extreme milk chocolate -> double choc and couldn't go back. Then I went double choc -> natural choc and now I can't go back again, lol.

I kinda wish I had just stayed with extreme milk chocolate, iirc it was the most delicious but now just tastes really weird to me.

Btw, the main reason for my progression is that extreme milk chocolate has never worked for me for making yogurt gruel but double choc and especially natural choc are A++.

yea if you like drinking chalk, rest of your bro-science probably more suited to bb.com, not Strength & Fatness.

Re: Losing this gut/getting tone with ExpectedV

a) the ON flavor in question (OP's pic) tastes worse than awful

b) I would like to know why ON, despite it's corrosive taste is a superior protein powder than the gimmick BSN, but I couldn't care less because I have one scoop of a delicious shake every morning which amounts to less than ~ 10% of my total protein intake.

but none of that matters because Trash obviously has some reading comprehension issues since it's pretty clear I was talking of ratings particularly from a taste point of view and ON rates pretty high in that regard.

Re: Losing this gut/getting tone with ExpectedV

Taste is usually correlated with additives that are for flavor only, and not necessarily "helpful"

Let me rephrase it to: People making a big deal out of the taste.
It takes about 5 seconds a day drinking a protein shake, taste really shouldn't be improtant imo. Want something good eat some food
