Re: Losing this gut/getting tone with ExpectedV

Based on the simple act of reaching out and up in front of himself to grab a packet of splenda, switching out grip isn't going to change anything IMO.

The second that type of motion is painful without any notable weight involved you know its a tear of some sort of one of the rotators, most often the supraspinatus which is why basic lifting out and up hurts.

N1,

Why don't you rest it like a ****ing normal person? You're not gonna magically melt. Somehow I barely even lift upper body and my press is improving. I didn't do a clean for months and somehow PRed it first time out. I would venture you're not at the level where skipping a press workout will cause you to lose all your gains.

Nuke,

I find your amateur doctoring pretty good fanfic. Could you add an MS Paint?

Some people are visual learners...if it'll help you understand what I'm theorizing then sure.

I am very guilty of writing things out in a "I'm right your wrong, this is the way it is" manner and I don't mean it that way....kinda like how you can't help being a massive dickface even if you've tried to change your ways.

nuke,

I'm kidding. I think you make up a ton of crazy **** to justify obviously stupid stuff. (That bizarre lat thing you ranted about.) In other cases you just kinda fear monger and guess at stuff. Sure he could have a tear and it would most likely be in the most likely place rotator cuff tears occur! Kinda like guessing that an ACL tear is the most likely knee ligament tear.

I think its ridiculous to do what you do on the reg where you basically pseudo science whatever you think might have happened.

As an aside, I'm sure people experience no meaningful loss of strength in bench with tears as well. Aside from the fact that he has no trauma, and it'd be incredibly rare to see a chronic tear in someone his age. But hey! Lets fear monger a bunch of stuff that doesn't make sense.

I jump to conclusions about pain all the time, I fully admit to that. Bit of a hypochondriac...

Do you know lots of people who lose gains while still being able to squat and/or deadlift? Because I know zero people like that.

Re: nuke - I'm pretty sure science says weeks on negative muscle, but I can't be bothered to look because I don't care that much...

It takes all of one workout to try a few different variants of bench and ohp and see which ones don't hurt. It's a worthy price to pay for even a 5% chance to be able to train around an injury instead of doing nothing and feeling ****ty about your plight.

Re: Losing this gut/getting tone with ExpectedV

didn't lift today. this is serious. i have never had pain last more than a couple of days. it has been about 10 days now and no sign of shoulder recovery. i am going to take a rest. gains will be lost. but i got a big heart and will regain it all back and be stronger than before. if by mid Jan I don't get better, i will see a doctor/specialist or whatever.

this is all God's plan for me. i dunno why it is hard, but all Glory to god!!1
