Sorry for the noob question, just browsing here...what does your "@ 7" notation mean? 7 seconds between reps? 7 minutes rest between sets? Or something else?

RPE, aka rate of perceived exertion. You can Google a handy chart for how it applies to lifting, but generally an @10 is absolute max, and each one down from that is how many reps in the tank. ie an @7 means I had 3 more reps. @7.5 means maybe 3 more but maybe 2.

Why is HBBS easier on your groin?

sometimes you just gotta think things through, melk. Seems pretty obvious.

6/5/18
superset:
Inc DB Bench:
45s x10
55s x10x3

DB Row:
60x10x4

Something like that. Didn't track closely in my notebook. Kinda was just ****in around today because I only had about 30 minutes.

Superset:
RDL:
135x10
225x10x2

Leg Press: 90x15x3 or 4

I did the leg press with wide stance and toes flared a lot just to stretch out the groin and get some bloodflow. meh.

KC,

Do you even neck harness?

I bought one because of your log title when setting up my home gym but I am pretty sure it has never been used.

i haven't in a long time but I own one. Thread title was really a joke by a certain mod (rip AB).

Kc is secretly hoarding all the TH as well as neck-harness gains for himself.

Floppy, you can also visit my log and do some crossfit!

DT,

I bought bumpers because of your log. I pour my beer on the floor and lick it cause of your log too but I think I may have that one wrong.

Can we just pretend I posted that in beginner's questions or something. I'm legit curious. I don't HBBS, but I occasionally FS (or at least I used to...it has been a while). When my groin is acting up, both FS and LBBS are equally uncomfortable at equal levels of exertion. So, I don't really get why HBBS would be different.

Just sitting in a chair or air squat, when do you feel more in your groin? When your back is vertical or when you are leaned forward?

Not much difference, but maybe a little more when leaning forward. But that doesn't really answer the question. What is the back angle doing that causes more strain on the adductor muscles?

It's not just back angle, it's also stance-width. I high-bar with a slightly narrower stance. If I just put the bar high but "sat back" and really jammed knees out I'm sure it'd still feel like butt.

And it's not no stress, it's just tolerable for me.

6/6/18:
Stationary Bike: 20 mins
some bs ab stuff

It is more about stance width because the wider the stance the stronger your adductors must contract to maintain stabilization so your legs don't slide out from under you as well as acting as a pelvic stabilizer in general.

yeah agree but back angle matters for me as the problem spot is a tie-in towards the back near my butthole.

That probably explains the discrepancy. When I was learning how to FS, the coach told me to basically keep same stance width as my LBBS and focus on keeping knees out (as I would with LBBS). No sit back, though.

I haven't NOT been working out but I haven't been doing anything worth logging. But I figure I should start logging again.

Paused Squat:
135x5
185x5
225x5
275x5

groin still a little wonky so going slow and non-explosive seemed prudent.

Bench:
135x5
155x5
165x5
175x4

wow awesome.
