Yeah looking at it now it looks like sort of a 7.5-8. Felt like hell though and I legit had a "I might fail my first squat rep in 3 years" thought before the 5th.

So I got some calibrating to do.

Such sick squatting.

+1 on the sick squatting

Only thing I notice (an my opinion is not really worth much and is probably best ignored) is that when you come up out of the hole you extend your neck ever so slightly instead of keeping it in a fixed position. You can see it best on the 1st set front view. But even on the heavier sets on the side views you can see how your chin kind of comes up every time.

In non theoretical squatting, your chin will raise a bit when it gets hard

Yeah, but this is kc we're talking about. Lord of the mother****ing squat. His is the theoretical ideal against which all squats are measured. Hence, the unrealistic standards.

I actually noticed that mid set on one of 'em and tried to correct but basically what weasel said. and it's super slight I really don't care. More concerned about letting knees slide a bit forward and getting a little loose laterally in the hole, as right above my knees was fairly sore yesterday. Though I suppose that could just be from hitting proper depth after probably cheating it an inch for a few weeks without realizing it.

3/1/15: Weas W6D6

DB Incline Bench:
50s x12x2, x10

easy-ish, nice to get the blood flowing and the neutral grip is easy on my shoulders.

DL:
375x4 @6.5
405x4 @7.5
435x4 @9 (PR)
415x4 @9

Lockout is getting to be a bit of an issue. Maybe sub rack pulls for paused deads next two weeks? Or maybe heavyish limited ROM "RDLs"... basically rack/block pulls without the rack. dunno.

Straight-back back raises: 3x8
Nautilus Pullovers: 3 sets for a few
Chest supported row: 2 sets
Hammer Curls: 35s x10
Bicep curls: 20s x12x2
Tricep pushdowns: 3 sets

Probably shoulda skipped the backraises as shoveling is in my future tonight.

no vid of first DL set.

Those are all good choices for helping lockout you could also try 1+1/2 dl

So DL, then the "rdl"?

3/3/15: Weas W7D1

Squat:
365x1 @6
405x1x2 @7.5, 7
365x3 @7
345x5x2 @7, 8

Some real issue with my right hip/glute/hipflexor, and thus these squats look ugly. It's been going on for a while. Something is just tight. Not super concerned but I'll have to roll it out and rest a bit.

Bench:
205x1 @8 (lol)
220x1x3 @9, 9.5, 9.5
200x3x5 @8, 8, 8, 8.5, 8.5-9

Bench went awesome. Like best in some time. First 205 single felt a little heavy but after that it was money. Long pause on the final 200 rep.

Just to note a couple things..

Sign up form went in the mail yesterday. So official meet day is Saturday, March 28th.

Weight this morning post-shower and hydrating was 222.8, which is promising since I ate a good deal yesterday (had an extra fifth meal of milk, whey, and triscuits after late night shoveling some heavy ass wet snow). So 220 won't be an issue at all as long as I stick to good eating.

Anyone ever wash rehbands? Washer OK? They stink to holy hell right now.

Absolutely awesome dude. Is this the USPA one? I would've been there if I wasn't going to the Dominican Republic.

I've washed TKs. Just rinsed them in warm water and left them out to dry. No soap needed.

Yes. USPA. In Rockland. The RPS meet I was considering was already full (that fed is getting very popular), plus I woulda been lifting on Sunday which kinda sucks.

I need to make sure my singlet is still fine and get some DL socks.

I just take my sleeves into the shower with me after a work out and rub them up with some body wash. Give them some sweet TLC.

Even though it's summer down in NZ#252, Aidan's burns are still ice cold

I don't even get it.

Everyone's banned. This is now a foreveralone log to mimic my lifting environment.

My post was at Aidan. I get dt's post. Shorts in winter that's funny. So are injuries. I heartily chuckle at all facets of your injuries. Get it. It's good stuff.

I was serious. I wash my sleeves and wrist wraps in the delicates bag my wife uses for her underwear. Stops snagging or some ****. Delicate cycle on the machine. The only part that was a semi troll is that kc is foreveralone.jpg so doesn't have a special lady to borrow from (landlord's grandma might be able to help).

Just soak them briefly in warm water with some distilled white vinegar. Rinse and let dry. Like new. Not even that often. Also try not to leave them stuffed in gym bag when wet to help avoid the funk.
