7/9 - 1950 cals

Skipped lifting due to crazy calf thing. I think cha is prob right that it is likely due to an irritated nerve in my back. It would make sense with the sciatica I've been dealing with.

So assuming a slightly bulged disk or something... Now what?

If I wake up with the same pain tomorrow I'm gonna end it.

Thanks. Didn't die this morning. I did some cat/camel and sciatic nerve flossing last night, as well as some smr bs. Did it again this morning.

Something is def up with the nerves in my left leg. I've got a little tingling just sitting here at work. Hopefully just a slight back tweak with some inflammation causing it, vs a disk that's about to shoot out my back. For now I'll just stay on top of the nerve flossing stuff.

I have been emailing back and forth with the owner of the bodpod. Basically calling him out for having an old faulty product. I told him I would like to use my remaining two bodpods to get retested and to test a friend. He said he will recalibrate the machine and give me free retest if the 9% was wrong.

Friday 3pm. I can pick you up at Vdara at 2:30 PM. You said if I paid for it, you will bodpod. I just rolled the ball to you bro. Your play.

It's a possibility. I'll pm you. I will likely be summer leaguing at that time. But the chance to bodpod with loco is really too big to pass up.

Hey mom I'm going to Vegas.
Stay out of the strip clubs!
Oh no its cool just going to bodpod with some Latin dude I met on the internet.

oh i will. I was bringing them anyway so we could squat. and so i could walk around in.

7/10
sleep: 7ish. woke up without my leg killing!
cardio: none
food: @1980 now. Will prob have a small protein/fat concoction before bed
. actually maybe just protein. @48gFack now. Good enough.

training:
got home very late, after gym closed, so did some quick kettletarding. Prob shoulda done more chins. oh well.

messed around with some TGUs. I suck at these. lol me. should do them.
16kg KB: 15 goblet squats, 10 presses per arm (1 set each), 35 swings
24kg KB: 15 goblet squats, 10 presses per arm (3, 3, 2, 2 alternating), 30 swings
32kg KB: 15 goblet squats, 2 failed presses per side, 5 swings

yeah i quit on the final set. My abs were kinda on fire. Goblet squats, when done strict (not hip driving out of the hole), really work the whole abdomen and especially the lower.

That failed front squat I posted really exposed that I'm truly a weak POS. Need to keep grooving all front squat type movements.

Still kinda concerned about the sciatica/nerve issues, but really all I can do is keep up with the nerve flossing, and working to correct my ATP would prob help. But ugh mobbing as a priority is such a bummer. Just gotta do it. Steady diet of couch stretch.

Something in my inner arm is a bit jacked up. Nothing major, just tweaked something in my armpit or something.

Never heard this song before. Heard while buying some 32W slacks at JCREW (my jam). Beyonce's sister. Who knew? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hy9W_mrY_Vk

Jesus Christ. Knowing that we could share pants may be all the motivation I need to finish my goddamn diet. Buying them at retail is a fish move though, those ****ers are all over goodwill for like $5/pair.

Next time we have a food drive I'll donate some extra cans and keep you in my thoughts.

I shop almost exclusively out of the Wrentham outlets, fwiw.

Ah ok, outlet prices are easier to stomach. It's the $90 for a pair of bowery twills that grinds my gears. GMAFB for $20 more I could get Incotex.

RECOMP. Pretty pleased given the large amount of food on Thursday and Friday.
weight: 188.8
Neck: 15.25"
Waist: 34.65"
BF%: 18.6

Hard to say how consistent this is. Didn't eat or sleep terribly well during my vegas trip. Flew back today. Drank a lot of water/coffee. Next week's number will matter.

Training with Loco was great. The dude has a lot of positive energy. He's good people. You all saw the reports. 14.6%, son. The actual training wasn't anything special. Squat felt super weak, worked up to a slow 335x1 and did an easy 225x10 backoff set. Bench felt solid but got greedy and missed 205, followed by 155x5 backoff. DL hit a slow-ish 365. Did some pullups which felt great. All in all not an awful day given I traveled and hadn't eaten much in the past 24 hours.

Bodpod also gives you caloric need estimates.

RMR: 1934cals
Sedentary: 2475 cals
Low Active: 2920 cals
Active: 3356 cals
Very active: 4022 cals

I think that skews a little high but doesn't seem far off. Especially once I REVERSE DIET and repair any METABOLIC DAMAGE this extended cut has done.

Loco alluded to you ending the cut soon, say it ain't so.

I feel like 170-175 or so should probably be the goal, no? kc's around fakebusto height but with presumably more LBM, right?

IMO take it one weight class at a time. No point in stopping until he's at least down to 181 where 500/220/500 would be very respectable.
Kidcolin's log: back to basics (plus neck harness) Quote

Shouldn't he go to like 5+ lbs below the weight class? In this example like 175? This would give room for the couple lbs of water and glycogen that he'll have at maint+ calories as well as a little bit of time for slow surplusing to get strength back to peak levels.
