What's your issue with the program?

Because it's the latest in a long line of half assed ****ery that has produced negative size and strength gains since you've joined the board?

I sort of revisited it recently but couldn't sustain 5 days a week with any reasonable level of intensity.

I mean from a lower body training perspective, optimal hypertrophy programming doesn't really diverge from optimal strength programming until some pretty decent weight is being moved. Doing anything other than working on your 5rm squat and 5rm deadlift until you hit a 2x bodyweight squat and 2.5x bodyweight deadlift just seems like it is pussyfooting around the cause of the problem, which is general lower body weakness. I could've saved myself a solid 2 years of lifting in college if I had just started out doing 3x5xMax squats and some deadlifts twice a week instead of whatever fancy garbage I did.

I forgot about phat. Real good program maybe I should switch to that. At my biggest that's the program I used.

If that's what you got out of what I just posted, you're well on your way to N1 level reading comprehension and willful obtuseness.

And I don't want to focus on numbers or percentages I rather do weight I am comfortable with. For example- my bench if u look at my workouts I was at 185x5 like 4 weeks ago now I am doing 225x3. I rather do the same weight at low reps then once I hit 7-8 reps find my 3rm again and repeat the process.

1. Program not designed for ig fuccbois, designed for older lifters with pre-existing injuries. In john's own words, he basically designed everything because he got the best bang for his buck on heavy compounds but found himself unable to do a typical powerbuilding type program anymore. It's not at all popular with the under ~30 crowd.

2. Created by an IFBB pro with dog**** genetics who's coached several Olympia competitors as well as successful natty bbers.

3. The rehtoric among bbing folks is "if you respond well to heavy progressive overload but you're too beat up from olds/injuries, go to mountain dog training".

He says 2-3 mins rest for explosive work, up to 5 for squatting and pulling. I am definitely hopping on one of the JM programs after my most recent bout of knee and bicep tendon pain. The program is not necessarily the issue, maybe more execution. EV's historically been terrified of resting adequately and doing true RPE8+ work on compound lifts. If I sent you the .pdf and you contrasted with EV's log you'd see what I mean.

Well, yeah, that's the point, though, isn't it? 90 seconds rest and RPE<6 for all lower body movements isn't the recipe for gainz, yet his mental illness for bro-style rep/set schemes bleeds into everything he does.

I'm getting stronger while staying injury free and gaining muscle mass. On point with my goals so far. All that matters.

EV,

Can you cite specific examples and/or benchmarks as to the strength and/or muscle mass gainz you've achieved in the last 6 months? 12 months? 24 months?

Bench went from 185x5 to 225x3 and DB incline 70x8 to 90x5. This was from 5/11/18 to now.

If loco leaves I'm gone too. No reason for me to be around. It's the only entertainment around here despite n1 trolling everyone and Monte losing his cool consistently.

Lower body strength has been slacking as expected. I am recovering from lower back injury. There is no reason to be aggro with squats/ lower body lifts.

Yeah that's ridiculous. I have a video in my Instagram wielding 100s and this guy is wielding 40s. WTF.

Actually one of my old buddies who doesn't even lift called me out on my form on this lift. I never responded, you guys can judge. I been very bad about updating my Instagram, I really don't like the whole thing. But I got keep doing it as long as I have targets I want to hit.

But anyways going back to EV, he has added zero muscle the last few months. It's all gains from going fat approaching 180. Kid is delusional.
