Deciding whether or not to purchase Adidas performance squat shoes. How do these shoes run? Regular shoes I'm normally 9.5-10. Any ideas?

Difference is absolutely enormous. It helps you stay upright during the squat, minimizing dangerous "squat-morning" tendencies and maximizing quad recruitment while allowing larger range of motion for extra recruitment overall.

EV, don't bother with expensive adidas shoes. http://www.maxbarbell.com/collection..****ifting-shoes has some much more affordable ones. I've had mine for 3 years now.

Also do more ****ing back sets you ****ing pussy jfc.

Ty. Went with Wei-Rui for about half the price of the Aidas ones.

Difference is not "absolutely enormous" unless you have serious issues that should be fixed prior to getting shoes. They are good though, and definitely get my vote.

I also think depending on serious-level, you do get more out of more expensive shoes, but the cheap Wei-Rui's are probably totally fine and will get you at least 80-90% of the benefit.

Went snowboarding today, was cold AF. Booking it as a leg workout. I'm sure loco will be in here trolling in no time.

New macros
- weight 161.0 lbs, was 161.2 one week ago.
- hopefully will gain at least 1 lb this week. Starting to feel like 2900-Ish calories is nothing. Srs.

Lol.

If you're in the park like me, you def get a good workout. You're constantly jibbing and pressing on rails and boxes. Also the 30-40' kickers works as squats when you land lol.

Been slacking on updates here. My physical activity is crazy right now. Academy + lifting 5x week + cardio on top of academy 2x week. Since last update I upped macros to 80f/410c/195p and lost weight. I'm at 159.4 lbs as of today. I have increased strength but it's still poverty weights.

I guess I just don't get the point of all this? You started this thread at 160lbs wanting to get up to 180lbs.

Now all this time later you're at 159lbs, overdosed on vitamins, and seem to be exhausted all the time. Does counting all these calories and making sure they are made up of x/y/z really seem worth it?

Seems like if I was dedicating so much of my life to something I would want to know that I was going to get awesome results. If I wasn't happy after this long I would probably modify things to make it easier on myself.

Like.... workout 30 mins a day 5 days a week... go golfing on the weekends. That's the ideal life. Not the macro carb gluten this that and the other nonsense.

Don't mean to come derail your thread. I'm just curious how people can dedicate so much time to this nonsense that often times leaves them unhappy in the end.

Like weasel said I'm in police academy now so there's not much I can do about that. Physical part sucks. I'm in a big class so people generally mess up more and the whole class is penalized for it. My lower back, shoulders and hips are constantly being put in "bad" positions during these times we are being punished. When we do self defense classes, we have to learn wrestling/martial arts moves. My point is that it's more likely for me to get injured and the workouts/punishments are very high intensity. I need to do my own workouts to make sure I am gaining strength/keep my body composition. I am also running a half of marathon in April so I need to do my own cardio throughout the week.

Due to all of this, I need to stay on top of my diet. I could get away with not counting macros and eat what I want but I guarantee I would just maintain/lose weight if I did that.

To answer your questions, I am happy with what I am doing. I believe I have made myself a better person by making these sacrifices and when I wake up/goto sleep I am happy with how I am living my life. I'm not sure what your background is on fitness/nutrition but after a certain point gains are very tough to come by and one must has to look at yearly progress. I'm not at this point yet but I have a lot going on right now and doing all I can to stay on top of everything.

EV,

Greear dumps his clumping cat litter down his toilet, so I think it's safe to say that you two aren't exactly operating at the same levels wrt mental discipline and focus and whatnot. What you're doing is legit impressive; keep it up.
